4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle poured into snifter. This is one fantastic pumpkin beer. The last few pumpkin beers Iíve had sort of let me down but this one was killer. Had a nice aroma of pumpkin pie mixed with banana bread and spice. The flavor is very creamy mixed a slight pumpkin cinnamon banana mixture. Outstanding!!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a big finger of frothy off-white head. The head fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of brown sugar and pumpkin pie spices with nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves, with some caramel and bready malts and some pumpkin.
T - Starts off with some sweet caramel malts with some pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices including some nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Through the middle, some brown sugar comes through with some more spices and pumpkin flavor. The finish is a mix of spices, bready malts, pumpkin, and some spices.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with spicy and slightly sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice pumpkin and with a good balance of pumpkin flavor and spices.

27/III/2012 - 355ml bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2012-292) Thanks to Cory and kelly for the bottle!
Little cloudy deep orange beer, big irregular creamy head, adhesive, pretty stable. Aroma: lots of cloves, cinnamon, some ginger, more cloves, bit sugary, although that last could be my mind playing tricks on me with all of these pastry aromas. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: lots of spices, mainly cinnamon and cloves, orange peel, gingerbread. Aftertaste: bitter, lots of spices, more cloves and cinnamon, bitter, little metallic, green banana.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured an orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of cinnamon and cloves is quite strong with light pumpkin notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some strong notes of cinnamon and cloves with light pumpkin and some semi-sweet caramelized malt. Body is average with good carbonation. Well brewed with just about right amount of spices.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From notes. First reviewed 9/3/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Screamin Pumpkin pours a translucent light caramel color with a foamy off-white that shows good retention and leaves a bit of lace on the glass.
The aroma is very good. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice combine with the pumpkin to give a nice pumpkin-forward aroma. Lightly sweet malt in the background.
The malt comes in a bit too soft. Slightly sweet but lacking enough punch, the pumpkin really dominates the flavor along with the spices. Cinnamon mostly, but a bit of nutmeg and all spice contribute to the pumpkin pie flavor. The end has an astringent grassy bitterness that is fairly off-putting. The finish is a little bit bitter.
The body is a little bit light for what I would like given the flavor profile. The malt really does not hold up to the strong pumpkin and spices. The carbonation kind of gets lost. It starts light sweet and sticky, but by the end there is a light astringency.
The aroma is by far the best part about this beer. The taste is a little bit off to me with the lack of balance between the malt and pumpkin and also the astringent bitterness that comes in at the end. There are better pumpkin beers out there.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I received a 12oz bottle in a trade with a friend in Illinois. I poured it into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Brunt umber/dirty orange color; extremely hazy body but some carbonation visible. Forms a white frothy head with good retention and lacing.
Smell: A potpourri aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, and other sweet spices.
Taste: Usually pumpkin ales fall into one of two categories: the pumpkin potpourri beer, or the pumpkin pie beer. Screaminí Pumpkin Spiced Ale is a little bit of both with strong taste of individual spices, but of the lighter, sweeter variety. The finish is all pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie with a sweet, pastry-like taste but isnít sugary or cloying in the least. Thereís even a gentle cinnamon presence to create for a crust-like flavor, too.
It starts out slightly mild with a general mťlange of the usual pumpkin suspects: pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Thankfully itís light on the more earthy, rustic-type spices and a complete absence of cardamom (thank you!). Thereís a breadiness imparted from the malts that compliments these flavors extremely well creating for an authentic pumpkin muffin-like taste. On the finish comes the pumpkin pie flavor including the graham cracker crust. Thereís a dash of vanilla in there, too, and an overall creamy, crŤme-like texture and taste. Very delectable and enjoyable because it seems so genuine and has no annoying aftertaste. Not the best pumpkin ale ever, but one of the best of the non-imperial variety.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied all around with a soft, creamy texture. Not tepid at all, but not overly effervescent, either.
Drinkability: I couldnít get official numbers on this beer, but Rate Beer indicates itís a 6% ABV brew, and I could certainly see that. With no alcohol presence in the nose, taste, or weight, Screaminí Pumpkin Spiced Ale is quite robust. The palate, mouthfeel and extremely smooth finish make it a challenge to drink slowly. While not a refreshing beer, itís versatile enough that it would pair with a meal or with dessert or as dessert itself, or just to enjoy on its own.

Very nice representative of these types of brew which can often be harsh or over-the-top. Many resemblances to the flavors and spices one would taste in a soft pumpkin cookie.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Light amber color with an average off white head. Nice pumpkin pie aroma, with vanilla, nutmeg and cinammon also present. Heavy baking spice flavors. The pumpkin comes through nicely in the finish. More of a semi-creamy texture with soft carbonation. Well worth a try.
