Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Apr 12, 2008 Bottled at Bishops Arms, Helsingborg. Amber coloured. Malty aroma with some unclean fruitiness and cardboard notes. Sweet malty flavour, again with a touch of cardboard and dust.
EithCubes (1722), Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bottle. Caramel and thick malt aroma with some luscious toffee and biscuit note, a bit of grapey fruit. Deep dark amber body with a lacing, creamy white head. Taste is big on caramel and bready notes, with toffee and a nice contribution from the pale malts. MMM! Medium body is lastingly crisp and refreshing, with a bit of grapey stickiness. Nice rounding hops for balance, but the taste wears thin and plays too sweet after about six ounces. Other than that, a nice surprise. larsniclas (2735), Gothenburg, Sweden Jun 22, 2008 Bottled at Beefeater Inn, Gothenburg.
Deep copper with a small, off-white head.
Light and slightly sourish aroma with pretty much toffee.
Soft and smooth palate.
Pretty sweet and malty with toffee. Medium bitterness. deft (45), Sweden Jun 15, 2008 355 ml bottle at Haket 23/4. Clear red copper with low off-white head, drops fast.
