COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright golden color, well rounded flavor and exceptional drinkability characterize this very refreshing ale. A delicate balance between pale malts and Hallertauer hops creates a very palatable, light, fruity ale. A great entry level beer for newcomers to fine hand-crafted ales.

To quote a friend, "I did not find this beer offensive, and I would drink it if nothing better was available. But I would buy six pack to share with my friends." My biggest complaint was that I just did not like the flavour. It need more hops.

Bottle. Pours amber. Small white head. Mild aroma of toast and caramel. Flavor is caramel. A bit of roast in the mouthfeel. Relatively mild palate. This is a nice light amber and at 4.5% very drinkable. Probably something you use a stepping stone to bigger beer. Overall decent, but not memorable, even for an amber.

Growler at home, rated against my interpretation of BJCP 2004 guidelines. Aroma: slightly floral, fairly weak aroma, malt. Appearance: dark golden red, clear, large foamy head that stays. Taste: malt opening, toasted, lightly hopped. Palate: medium body, slightly creamy, average carbonation, average and slightly bitter finish. Overall: a very enjoyable beer, seems to be a good example of the style, though I have not had many to compare to

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Amber brew with off white head. Not much in the aroma dept. Tast is nice - simple malts with a bit of grassy / bitter hops in the finish. Clean and refreshing, good brew.
