rickgordon (2947), Göteborg, Sweden May 5, 2008 Bottled. Light hazy, yellow colour with pretty low cottony head. Banana esters in aroma, along with dough and citrus. Not that much phenols here. Semi smooth body, only light prickly with good estery flavour, with a touch of citrus, and most prominent is that of cloves. Hops show off more than usual in a weizen, but hey, this is American. A good summer beer, not all to demanding.
Bov (4559), Bienne, Switzerland Jul 1, 2008 courtesy of Per Forsgren - pours a cloudy dark orange colour without foam; aroma of apple, banana and wheat, lot of carbonation and fairly sweet; moderate malt body; corny finish with some residual sugars and notes of ripe fruits thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 24, 2008 This bottled brew from Fort Wayne, IN poured a small sized head of foamy white colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a very hazy dark orange colored body with typical carbonation. The mouth feel was tingly crisp and thick. The aroma was soft bread doughs and wheat. The flavor was mostly of wheat and dough. Ingevara (457), Hindås, Sweden Jun 16, 2008 Average head. Standard lager colored but slightly misty. Refreshing aroma, but the flavor has more than one hint of the belgian ale-like stale taste. Just riht carbonisation compensates. Not too bad. Egon (251), Gothenburg, Sweden May 24, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow with white head. Nice candy banana with some citrus. Medium body, low carbonization. bhensonb (2687), Woodland, California, USA May 19, 2008 Nice aroma of banana with a little citrus. Hazy orange color with a runaway head. Near medium body with mild carbonation. HIts a bit sour, then the banana comes up. Finishes up rather dry with clove and possibly coriander. The spice is pretty strong. Seems a bit thin in the end, but it still tastes good.
