2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 hopdog (6943) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2007
On tap at the Mickey Finn Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of wheat, grainy, and some citrus in the tastes. Thinner body.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Libertyville, Illinois. Thick white head atop a clear, medium yellow pour, this beer had a very faint nose of dishwashing detergent. Balanced, but not much discernable flavor. It did go down easy. Meh.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2006
Transparent and pale golden copper in color with a quarter’s width of grey foam for the head. Saffron, vanilla and caramelized wheat lead the nose. A touch of smooth butternut squash and cloves meet a citric lemon zest in the distance. Light fairing flavor of herbal vanilla fabric sheets join with buttered and hardened croissants. Green marigolds and banana buttered danishes stroll dolefully in the background. Effervescence being moderate and the body as downright light don’t dissuade this one from being world’s better than the brewery’s other session wheat. Soapiness settles in with cotton for a clean wheat treat in its afterlife. Earlier Rating: 2/21/2005 Total Score: 2 Very clear with no unfiltered wheat in suspension. Little to no head, with a barely identifiable scent that is reminiscent of a Miller Lite. Bright, clean taste. Slightly yeasty, but not enough to be considered a wheat. This is more like a pale lager, and I don’t like pale lagers.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 frankenkitty (1953) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2006
Light-hazed amber with a ring on top, light aromas find lemons above a wheat base. The lemon comes out with Finn’s signature nuttiness in flavor with light roast, a hint of peach and a sugary punch. Solid.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 28, 2006
Growler courtesy of a travelling colleague. Pours a dark golden color with tiny bubbles. Medium foamy white head that stays pretty well. Thin, patchy lacing. Aroma of wheat and light malt. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation, with subtle wheat and sweet fruit flavors. Some malt as well. Nothing comes through very strong but at the same time the interplay between the airy flavors is somewhat pleasing. Not a great beer but intriguues me to try their other offerings.
3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2005
On tap at Mickey Finns. Small diminishing white head with spare lacing. Clear yellow color with no discernable aroma. Very little carbonation. Light-to-medium body that starts off with a smooth, lightly sweet, nutty malt flavor and ends with a dryish lightly bitter finish of short duration. A very enjoyable and refreshing summer beer - one of my favorites among Mickey Finns beers. I purchased a growler to savor with dinner.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DavidP (1745) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 24, 2005
Clear golden body, thin white head. Light citrus rind, grain husk, peach sweetness and wheat malt in the flavor. Wheat and light peachy fruit int he aroma. Nicely dry and hoppy finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornfield (5240) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2005 On draught at the brewpub: This poured a clear, pale yellow color with a slender white head that rapidly vanishes. The aroma is fairly faint, but is somewhat grassy with a yeasty fruitiness to it. Medium-bodied, it has a refreshing banana and bubble gum taste. The finish is short and sweet. This is definitely good for the Summer.
