2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rangerred (662) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - NOV 18, 201212oz hand grenade into a pint glass.
Pours a clear pale straw yellow with a 1.5 finger head. Really good head retention and lacing for being a cheap adjunct lager. Some of the best I have seen in the style.
Aroma has tons of cooked vegetable and some Corn. There is caramel in there along with a faint hint of wet grassy hops. Not bad.
The flavor has a not so nice cardboard/plastic note but it fades the warmer the beer gets. Some caramel and creamed corn and cooked vegetables. Hop flavor is very faint and grassy with bitterness being light. Mouthfeel is more full than a typical AAL finishing slightly sticky and a little sweet.
Overall, not a great beer by any means but one of the best malt liquors out there. More flavor than many macros and cheap to boot. Worth picking up if you are drinking on a budget.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 wildbeercat (119) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 22, 2013
40, paid completely in change. Served super cold.
Aroma: Cereals. Not super corny. Not even skunky! Pleasant surprise, considering the green bottle. Really not that bad. Which kind of shocks me.
Appearance: Clear, pale yellow. White head that quickly fizzes away.
Taste: Considering what I was preparing myself for mentally, this wasn’t too bad. Definitely better than Olde-E. Just cereals; no real hop profile. Tastes like a common, run of the mill macro beer.
Palate: Slightly watery, light bodied. Not much else to say.
Overall: You know, considering what other malt liquors are out there, Mickey’s isn’t as bad as it could be. That being said, it’s not that great. But hey, if it’s two days before you get paid, and you’ve got two dollars to buy beer with, a 40 of Mickey’s isn’t too horrible.

Actually not too bad for a malt liquor. Has a slightly sweet/fruity flavor and good carbonation. That being said, it’s not horrible but definitely not on the same page as a good microbrew.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 koppertone (26) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 7, 2013
I wasn’t sure how to grade this beer.I have to admit, just looking at the bottle I didn’t have high hopes going into my first bottle of Mickey’s. When I opened it the smell lowered my expectations even further. It brought me back to $1 beer night at the club as a teenager. Except... the beers there didn’t smell this bad. Just plain skunk.
Now that said tasting it, it tasted alright. A bit sweet and a bit different... but not really anything I’d get excited about. A weird slightly different flavor... what is that flavor... ah right corn and rice. Not typically used to that.
I can drink the whole bottle, no problem. I’m not sure how bad a beer has to be to not be able to at least finish it though. But I would never ever want to get it again.

Overall: Once is abundantly enough.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Hophead22 (2743) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - APR 28, 2013
Stubby bottle. Rating #811. Clear light gold color with a small white head. Sweet light corn aroma with a bit of skunk, not that nice really. Nasty skunk flavor as well, not that good. (2717)
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 beerbaaron (379) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 9, 2013
You dont pour Mickey’s into a glass (who knows/cares what it looks like)...you drink it from the ’grenade’ and ponder over the puzzle under the cap (appearance).. and then preferably smash it behind behind a dumpster or some other place you throw it (which is what occurred the last time I had this). Not much aroma - grain, but in offensive, which is a plus. Same with flavor - corn, grain, water. Goes down quick and easy (is this not the goal here?) Honestly, its not half bad...
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BillWyce (532) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2013
From notes: Poured clear straw color, with a 3-finger white head that was fairly thin. Aroma of yeast, with notes of alcohol and corn, along with a slight skunkiness. Light body, somewhat thin & watery. Flavor of corn, with some alcohol bite to it.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Chudwick (1084) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - FEB 22, 2013
12oz bottle - pours clear and pale gold with lots of white head that takes it time to disappear, leaving decent lacing. Nose is corn and cardboard. Flavor adds some caramel malts. Light sweetness with more pronounced bitterness. Not as brutal as most malt liquor beers but more akin to a stronger pale lager. Better than I remember.
1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 EtTuCthulhu (396) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JAN 30, 2013
This beer smells completely like the negative alcohol side of beer, and the color of the beer is yellow with a prominent head that dissipates quickly. The beer is quite sour and salty with a palate that’s a combination of a thin body, an average carbonation, and a long finish don’t make this beer one you want to drink too often.
