jimhilt (1357), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours a five+ finger thick, pillowy cream head (pour this one slowly) that takes forever to fade and leaves a good lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Citric nose. Flavor is sweet wheat and citric. Grapefruit finish. $4.99 for a 22oz bottle from Yankee Spirits South Attleboro, Ma. MatSciGuy (171), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 1, 2008 [bottle] From an IPA fan, this beer was really good. Had a lot more hops than I was expecting both on the nose and in the flavor. Poured a cloudy gold with a large whitish head. Very tasty. OSLO (590), Minnesota, USA Apr 1, 2008 [Bottle, thanks Brewfiend] Pours hazy orange with a big off-white head. Aroma is big on floral hops with a little citrus in there as well. Taste is sweet, fruity--a little citrus and only a little bitterness towards the end. Medium mouthfeel. A decent beer. JK (2356), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Mar 29, 2008 This reminds me of the New Glarus Imperial weizen. Loads of hops in the aroma and flavor, especiall y for the style. Good, crisp flavor with citrus and grapefruit, with a sour citrus bite. An interesting fusion of styles, like an ipa and weizen. Guerde (443), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Mar 29, 2008 (bottle, thanks BDR) Pours a dark gold color with a white head. The aroma, as beoir pointed out, is strong with lilac, but I also smelled some Off Bugspray which detracted from the aroma. The taste is somewhat spicy and grainy (not wheat though) with a bit of pear and peach too. Medium mouthfeel.
