On tap at the brewery. Pours clear brown with a tan head that fades. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt, nutty, a bit of caramel. Taste is more nutty with a roasty finish.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a solid brown with an average tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Flavor of the roasted and nutty malt. Guy pouring said this was slightly different than this 14th Ann. A brown’s a brown to me.

On tap at Middle Ages brewery. Very nice colored beer with an intense head. Sweet taste with some roasted malt in the aftertaste. Solid

Cask at Mahars. Pours a nice brown with a great froth. Aroma is beer, yeast and sweet malt, nothing else. Flavor is strong for a cask beer, good and sweet finish, a bit tangy.

On tap @ Buffalo Brew Fest 2009. Pours a nice deeper brown. Roasty malt aroma. Taste was dark roasted malts, almost seemed slightly spritzy. Maybe over carbonated a tad. Lighter mouthfeel. Still not too bad
