Bottle. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma was thick and malty with caramel, citrus and pine. Flavor was malty and fairly bitter with caramel, piney resin, citrus and some subtle toffee notes.

From a bottle shop in Cortland. The aroma is caramel, brown sugar, resin, citrus. A bit sour and earthy as well. The appearance is a DARk amber, ruby color, off-white head. The flavor is caramel, bready, resiny, citrusy. The finish is resin, citrus, strong, lasting hop bitterness. Medium/thick in body. Slight booze warming after a minute, but overall the booze is farly well hidden here. Very good.

January 6, 2012 - with blankboy, garthicus, gregclow, jerc & mabel. Bomber c/o blankboy. "Those are LARGE boobies!!" Deep ruby-brown with an average frothy tan head (4-). A bit like Stone Double bastard - strong alcohol, very grainy, would be sweet but it’s also quite resiny. Taste is ... big: leafy dry barleywine, boozy acidic. Thick, syrupy, astringent, decent carbonation, somewhat long boozy/bitter finish, although is starts out more sweet than bitter. Maybe some maple syrup in there.

hopscotch (8212) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2012
Bottle… Clear Longhorn-orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The malty bouquet furnishes nuts, caramel and toasted barley. Medium to full-bodied with snappy carbonation. The flavor is not quite as malty as the aroma; more bitter and boozy – grapefruit rind and pith stand out. Lengthy, rindy, bitter finish.

Bottle [660ml] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Jan. 6. Pours a deep amber with a small semi-lasting off-white head. Aroma is equally malty and hoppy, sweet and fruity. Sweet, malty flavour followed by hops, some fruit, a hint of alcohol and a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really enjoyable.

[4238-20120106] 1pt6floz bottle. Sweet maple grain aroma. Clear, dark amber orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Grainy fruit malt flavour has a light banana note along with light maple hints. Medium body. Heavy and hot... and so is the beer. (7/4/7/3/14) 3.5

Aroma is very malty, light alcoholic, faded hoppiness, caramel. Ruby/Brown with a tight light tan head. Taste is malty, mild hoppiness, light earthiness, nice solid background hoppiness. Solid stuff.
