3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hopscotch (7542) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2012
Bottle… Clear Longhorn-orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The malty bouquet furnishes nuts, caramel and toasted barley. Medium to full-bodied with snappy carbonation. The flavor is not quite as malty as the aroma; more bitter and boozy – grapefruit rind and pith stand out. Lengthy, rindy, bitter finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 IrishBoy (3339) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Bomber from a trade a couple years ago. Nose is floral hops with a lot of toffee and raisin pie sweetness. Clear rust colored with a moderate, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, golden raisins adding some sweetness and fruitiness, and some background toffee. Very smooth drinking!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 21, 2012
2012-01-06. Very dark amber body, small beige head. 3+ Flavour is interesting, fairly bitter but the sweet malty core makes it fairly sweet, caramel and sugary notes, fruity accents. 7+ Modest aroma, sweet malt, caramel, mild hops. 7+ Smooth medium bodied palate. 3+ Modest alcohol throughout makes itself known. Nice, less hoppy than I had hoped, I think I prefer the regular Wailing wench, but this was enjoyable. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 shadey (1628) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2011
22oz bottle. Pour is a deep garnet red with only wisps of head. The aroma is quite spicy - full of hops. However, there is enough malt to balance this out. The flavor is a big malty beer that is well hopped and very spicy in character. I prefer the original wench, but this is clearly quality and at the high level of alcohol, well done.
