j_b (719), Rochester, New York, USA Mar 16, 2008 At the Dinosaur Barbecue in Rochester. Non-descript looking, pale in color. Toffee aroma also very malty (doughy), very nice. Palate was similar along with caramel and butterscotch, finishing with some mild hops. I liked it.
Ughsmash (2835), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jun 25, 2008 On tap at Dinosaur BBQ. Poured clear golden with a solid cap of white head.. sticky lacing as it descended. The aroma was sweeter with grassy and grainy notes most of the way.. picked up a bit of cereal and corn as well.. warmth brought out a bit of light fruit. The flavor had more lighter fruits along with honey, a little caramel, and light vegetal notes.. nothing memorable, but nothing too unpleasant here. Too much carbonation on the palate, which made it a bit tough to drink.. odd fruity notes on the back.. not bad for the style (I wrote this thinking it was a blonde ale.. this sucks as an EPA). scottw86 (94), New York, USA May 16, 2008 A glass at the Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester. Slightly orange hazy color with some nice aromas of bananas. Taste was hoppy with some orange flavors as well. Overall pretty good. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA Mar 31, 2007 Middle ages clones Magic hat #9. I have no complaints. none at all. Bravo you crazy bastards at middleages. Best brewerey in the world. Thats quite a statement. Thaichile (570), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA Mar 30, 2006 Tap at Dinosaur BBQ Harlem. Described as a Pale Ale with apricots. Scents of bread and yeast on the nose. Pours a light copper with a quickly disappearing head. Flavor was overwhelmingly musty, beery with absolutely no discernable fruit(apricot). Served very cold, but not the best.
