12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, mint, grass, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, mint, grass, and herbal earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, caramel, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, mint, grass, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Some light fruity tartness was also present on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid amber ale. Good balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

Bottle, thanks Jim! Gusher on opening, pours clear orange, humongous white head, eventually dissipates with some lacing. Aroma is caramel, cardboard, grass. Flavor follows, sweetish and not good.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with a thin white head. A bit of malt and hops in the aroma and flavor. Is it the finest craft beer on the planet? No. Is it better than 99.9% of the macro brews? Heck yeah.

This beer is far from anything it claims to be, I took three sips and chugged the remainder, considering pouring my other two out

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy golden/amber color with an off white head. Aromas of caramel, buttered popcorn, and rotting fruits. Tastes of grains and caramel. I like the description - introduce non craft beer drinker to craft beer ...

Had on-tap for $5.25 a pint at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Appearance: Well, just about copper. Finger of head off the tap. Died down pretty quickly, and left some pretty patchy lacing. Not a great looking beer, but unfortunately, still the best part about this beer. Smell: Eh... this has almost an adjunct-malt sort of smell. It doesnít come off as a particularly crafty smelling beer. Mild roasted caramel aroma, with maybe a trace of spicy hops? Thereís not much to this beer. Taste/feel: Yeah, just mediocre as a whole. Iím actually surprised by the 79 rating. This drinks like a mass-produced beer. Thereís no real depth of flavor. The best thing going for this is that itís drinkable, but thatís not exactly a compliment. The feel is pretty thin with a slightly high carbonation. Average... thereís nothing about this beer that stands out to me, and itís really quite forgettable. It IS drinkable, and I encourage people to drink local, but this is one Iíd probably just pass on if I saw it again. My first from Midland, and Iím not impressed. Meh.
