Envy Imperial Pilsner obsessively desires to be better than the world’s most common lager. Envy vies for attention with its beautifully bright, golden color and tightly-formed crown. Intense yet true pilsner malt provides the perfect base for profuse citrus, floral and spicy hop flavor. Envy achieves distinction, making other beers turn green.

Bottle,Nice large white head that faded kinda quickly leaving a slight lace behind.Nice hazy golden color. The aroma was mildly fruity some hints of citrus and malt. The flavor was better then i expected it to be with a decent malty side some nice citrusy notes, hops coming through fairly well with a mild alcohol bite in the end, very mild though.Over all a pretty tasty brew fairly balanced IMO and easy to drink.Well worth trying again.

22oz bottle. Rating #43. Golden color with a decent white head. Pretty clean grainy aroma, light hops. Nice bitterness that sticks to the tongue pretty well. A bit oxidized, but overall pretty tasty. (1412)

A: The pour is a light golden yellow color with a mild white head. S: The nose is slightly buttery with a bit of skunk and some stale orange peel. A bit of sweetness, somewhat in the form of sugar. T: Quite a bit of bitterness still present along with the same stale orange peel flavor. A solid maltiness along with a slight grassiness to the finish. M: Medium in body with fairly low carbonation for a pilsner. D: This certainly would have been better if it was fresh, but at this point, there really isn’t too much worth saving.

Bottle shared at local gathering. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was lasting and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy tart citrus hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good drinkable beer.

Bomber- pours a hazy orange and a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is earthy grassy citrus, light orange zest, European floral earthy hops as well- good malt backbone, doughy pils, bready clean crackery and crisp- a bit of honey as well. Honey flavor, big toasted light malts, pils, grassy earthy floral and citrus hops- a bit of everything- still stays a bit clean despite the hops and the high abv- nice.

Bottle acquired via trade with goldtwins...THANKS AGAIN LARRY!!! Murky lemonade pour with a tangerine center sprouts a small eggshell head and minimal lacing. Tropical iced tea with a drop or two of honey both in the aroma and flavor. Herbal, sweet, and dull. This one either didn’t hold up well or was never that good to begin with. Medium palate.

Bottle shared by BOLTZ7555 – you da man Jason! Pours cloudy orange with a beige head that leaves decent lacing. The nose is fruit flavored iced tea, honey and faint citrus. The taste is pink grapefruit, caramel malt, light iced tea and tart grapefruit rind in the finish. Medium body. Good stuff, not what I was expecting, but decent.

Orange golden pour with a thin head and big bubbles. The aroma is super sweet grass and bread. The flavor is a strongly sweet and bready pis with huge grass and pepper hops in the finish. Lingering hop resins on the palate. It seems odd, dirty, or funky, but not in a good way to me. Creamy body for a pils, this does not work all that well to me, but the hop presence keeps it decent.

This one pours a bright hazy yellow orange with a big fluffy white head that remains a cap throughout with tons of lacing. Smell is hoppy with light citrus hops playing the major role, a slightly astringent lemon aroma. There are also some light grains in the nose as well. Taste has the same hop astringency but is wonderfully balanced for the style with a strong grain presence and a range of hop flavors, from grass to citrus. There’s definitely a crisp hop kick in the finish though. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with strong carbonation and very crisp. I really enjoyed this one and it may be the best imperial pilsner I have tasted. Great beer for the style.

Draft. Hazy dark gold with a fleeting white head. Spicy citrusy aroma with yeasty sour dough grains. Medium body. Good, heavy flavors are sweet pale malts with spicy euro hops. Has a mildly bitter alcohol taste to finish. This was really tasty on tap.
