3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite dry, with big resinous hops, citrus fruits (especially grapefruit), and dry bready caramel malt. Flavour brings out big grapefruit notes upfront, along with oranges and some lemon, with resinous hops, and moderately sweet caramel malt. Big n bold, with a high amount of malty sweetness and sugary quality on the finish. Well-balanced even if sweet, but though just shy of being a really elegant triple IPA. Good stuff, but not completely on the mark.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
10.5% and 200 ibu. Pours thick copper. Smell isn’t dramatically hoppy. Lots of malt and spicy hops and a little heat. Expected more candied fruit and/or florals. medium to full bodied, fairly smooth for the abv. Flavor is good, but almost more barleywine like than IPA. Decent, but not for the price.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lg. shared bottle at RBWG-2015
Hazy amber body with virtually no head.
Very fruity aroma with a strong hint of orange along with lemon and lime.
Flavor: hoppy and fruity but very mild for 200 IBUs.
Feel: some heat from otherwise mostly hidden alcohol.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark tan orange in color... Aroma of citrusy hops, sticky caramel... Flavor is burnt coffee, toffee, pine and citrus hops... Hops are not terribly fresh tasting... Decent at best

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted during RBWG grand tasting. Hazy amber red orange color. Ring of off white head. Dots and bits of lace. A lot of caramel malt, mostly. Some resiny hop, not much left though. Bigger body. Light carbonation. Slick texture. Sweet taste, light bitter. Not fresh, I’m thinking

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy amber, small beige head, dissipates quickly, good lacing. Aroma is caramel, herb, pine resin. Flavor is fully sweet, medium plus bitter, caramel, toffee, pine resin. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This here is an American barleywine through and through. Triple IPA my ass.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from a tasting last month, from notes. Thanks, John! Amber pour, some head. Piney hop aroma. Syrup, fresh, resinous, intense hops. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter, syrupy texture; thick, rich, intense, but not out of line. Cool beer.
