Thanks to AmericanBrew for sharing this bottle. Always excited to try a new beer from Midnight Sun. This is one I didn’t think I would get to try.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the wheat and grassy hops, with some pepper mixed in. I also surprisingly get some licorice in the aroma which goes very well with the other aromas.
The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of wheat and sugar, with some grass, oranges and lemons. The alcohol is very well hidden. I also get a little bit of brett character, but it is fairly faint.
Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. A very nice Belgian Strong Ale.

(22oz bottle, courtesy of AmEricanbrew) Pours a clear yellow body with a moderate white head. Aroma of herbs, horseblanket, oak, citrus, light chardonnay, and grass. Flavor of herbs, grass, brett, dough, chardonnay, and light butter with a dry oak finish.

Not what I was expecting: aroma of vanilla and creamed corn. Flavor was fairly dry maybe a wee bit funky and seemed to have a very big phenolic presence to it.

Ours hazy dark yellow with thin white head; hoppy, sweet, bretty aromas with oak, vanilla and mild funk; texture is just about perfect with a soft sweetness and a little bit of funk to make it interesting; apricots, lemons, white wine and oak; yummy; one of my fav planet beers so

Drank this in Charlottesville last month after seeing PHISH play. Good times with ucusty and OSCF. This beer really beer really hit the spot. Some oak, chardonnay/tannin notes paired nicely with the brett and traditional belgian mats and yeasts.

Thanks to Sam for sharing! Phish C-Ville! Gold pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of white grape, brett, and oak. Prickly carbonation. Lemony, barnyard notes, oaky tannins, and brett. Dry finish. Really solid offering

Golden yellow beer with a lasting, fizzy white head. Yeasty nose with hints of Brett funk. Some oak notes but I didn’t get any chardonnay. Some faint Brett, but not enough to bother me. Very well balanced beer. Crisp, dry finish.

Bottle Pours out a hazy apricot topped with a white head. Aroma of fruit apricot along with some nice oak notes. Taste more of the oak, the fruit once again showing up. Along with some vanilla sweetness. A tast treat. thanks Toby

Bottle - Thanks Toby! - Pours a hazy tan yellow with a nice white head that lingers...aroma is oaky malt, bread, a bit of lemon and grape must...flavour shows all of that, and walks a fine line between savory funk and sweet vinous goodness, light spice, subtle citrus, tart oak, creamy malt all vying for your tastebuds...I thought this was the best bottle of the night, thanks again!
