Bomber to oversized snifter (thanks mikem409). Looks good; a semi-transparent orange with white head and good carbonation. Smells semi-sweet, doughy, and funky. Tastes like it smells with less funk and an average mouthfeel. Could be funkier, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle: Poured a coppery to hazy yellow with a two finger frothy foam head. Aroma is pungent fruit and brett funk. Taste is a metallic hop with some soft malts and yet has that bitter dry brett finish.

Bottle generously shared by ipa247. Thanks Jeff. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small white head that settles to a ring and leaves a bunch of small spots of lacing on the glass. The aroma is lots of funky brett, some apricot, green apple, and a light peppery note. The taste is dry with funky brett, apricot, and green apple. The finish is quite dry and bretty. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Not terribly complex, but a good beer.

Drank this out of a huge 1.5L bottle at DLD. Wow, whoever brought this, awesome! I’m guessing it was Sean9689, since I was standing right next to Thorpe429 when this was opened. Poured with a slight haze, and a small slightly white/off-white color. Aroma was sour notes, a touch of fruit, really digging the tart notes. A bit flat on the flavor though, perhaps low carbonation (to me), the funk notes are still enjoyable.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a bit white head. A really nice tartness on the nose. Apples, pears, and maybe some tropical fruit. At least some yeast and maybe some pale malt. Straw and pale fruits with some tropical fruits and citrus notes. A really good beer. Medium bodied with high carbonation.

1.5L. Thanks j&a! Pours a cloudy (or clear, depending where you are in the bottle) medium gold with a loose white head. Big tart beautiful green and red apple nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sweet beautiful apple cider\calvados mid palate with a funky tang. Wonderful cidery sour and.quite unlike any brett beer i can remember having.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2012 Reviewed from notes. Thanks to bmanning for opening this bottle. Pours a slightly-hazy golden color with a nice white head. Really fantastic lacing on the sides of my tulip. The nose is really nice with some hay, light citrus, stone fruits, and a bit of barnyard funk. Update 04.28.2012: Thanks to Sean9689 for opening a magnum of this at DLD 2012. Unbelievable Brett presence in this one with a great dry finish. Scores bumped accordingly. Original scores: 8 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 16 The taste isn’t quite as complex as the nose, but is still quite nice and funky; the Brett definitely makes itself known, and this is completely apparent in the feel which has a really nice funk presence. Drinks quite well in general; I am a big, big fan of this and pretty much everything from Midnight Sun. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010

22 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Pours a cloudy golden color with a smaller white head. The aroma was pale malts, Brett funk, zesty citrus, white grapes, subtle fruits an an overall acidic quality. The flavor has a mild pale maltiness with moderate sweetness and ripe fruitiness. I have not noticed this in many beers, but horseblanket immediately came to mind. The citrus shows up, but not as pronounced as in the nose. Finishes fairly dry, lightly bitter and a touch funky. Medium bodied, interesting beer I am glad to have tried.

Bottle... Poured a hazy orange with a thick white head. Lots of funk, horse blanket on the nose. A good estery brew here. Yeasty, well spiced, malts, sour funkiness, candied sugars, and a dry funky finish.

22 oz bottle shared by beastiefan2k. Pour is a hazed orange yellow with a white head. Aroma is dusty earth, along with some lemon citrus. Taste is the Brett, nicely developed up front, then comes some grassy citrus - lime fruit. Palate is medium to thin, nice active carbonation and a dry finish. Thanks for sharing Eugene, another fun one.
