3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from my boy jrahrer...thanks, I owe you. Pours a deep orange/brown color with little-to-no head to speak. Decent retention on what did develop though. Aroma has notes of citrus fruits, though I canít really pick out a specific one...the spices they used in this are definitely present, but a bit muddled. I canít really seem to pinpoint much of anything in the nose on this...their seems to be some earthy notes coming through as it warms along with a bit of pepper and an indistinct sweetness. Mouth feel is sharp and biting from front-to-back...the flavor profile fits the description much more than the nose. I get the pumpkin-y spices, like the cinnamon and clove...also a ton of pine and raw chili peppers.
A very unique brew, but Iím truly not sure how I feel about it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle sent to me by 12many. Letís just be honest, the description sounds sick. The thought of IPA and curry spices isnít that appealing to me. But Midnight Sun manages to pull it off quite nicely. It reminds me of many seasonal pumpkin beers on the market, such as ST Pumpking, but obviously with more hop presence. Itís really balanced, spicy, and leaves a light chili burns lingering at the end. Itís actually pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber with white head. Aroma is of a doobie being smoked in a flower shop. Flavors are a circus of spices that my buds canít even isolate. Is that dandelion? Or is that fuggle hops infused with chili powder? I appreciate creativity, but this walks a fine line between unique concept and empty-your-spice-rack-into-the-brewpot concept. Perplexing.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This dipa has great color, aroma, taste and palate...and yet it some how seems like a gimmick ale at the end of the day. Still pretty good though.
