Shared bottle with Timfoolery. Pours a dark brown and you can just smell the sour. Fruity flavor with a blast of sour. Overall a solid brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 10/16/2013. Pours deep muddy brown, white head dies to a haze on the surface with a thin ring of lacing. Nose is mild berries and plum, mild tartness, light toffee and subtle chocolate opening to spicy brett edge with dark earthy barnyard, damp wood. Taste is dark fruity malts, caramel, moderate funky bitterness building in the middle, dry brett finish with charred wood. Full body. Interesting, challenging beer, but this combination isn’t my favorite.

Bottle from SHIG. Kinda worried over the rating, but this beer was legit. Should be classified a sour/wild, but whatever. Nose of dark fruit and some Brett. Flavor is Brett, thorough plantain, and some soured, dried dark fruit. Very good beer overall. I'd definitely take another.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brett character is fairly strong. Fruity funky and tart. Lacks the old ale sweetness I’m looking for.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a trade with savnac...thanks, Ira! Brett and wood on the nose. Cloudy brown red with fairly thick head. Very well balanced. Malt and red wine along with brett funks and barrel notes. Slightly sharp sour lingering finish. This beer is tremendously underrated. I can only guess most drank this way too young. These brett beers demand cellaring to enjoy at their fullest and this is a great example.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with orange layered streaks, very cool color. The head was thin tan that dissipated almost instantly leaving ghost/milky splash on top. The aroma is a interesting mix of malts, oaken woodsy, and sourness perfume. Taste is a sour tangy woodsy front, nice soothing caramel malts that turn into a dry tingly finish. Very complex beer!

Mury light brown color with tan sheen. Spicy caramel, pit fruit, tea leaf, vanilla aromas. Smooth medium body. Nice toasted spicy caramel, pit fruit flavors with some citrus tartness to check the sweet stuff--this one works

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Turbid orange brown color out of the bottle with a thin beige head. Malty nose with a hint of Brett funk. Big fruity beer with lots of plum and raisen. Shades of funk underneath. Odd beer.

22oz bottle pours a hazy burnt orange with some thin creamy head. Nose is lots of Brett C, cherry pie, vegetal, orange. Flavor is malty, oranges, celery, grass, hay. Full bodied, dry, bretty finish.

Dark cola red pour with a medium, creamy head. Nose is bretty, dark malts, wine barrel, some prickly tropical fruits. Mouth is wet wine barrel all over, strange sweet/sour berries, an odd prickly presence. I was worried about this and it delivered on that ground. Old ales and barley wines should rarely if ever be aged in barrels with brett. Better than Idiot’s drool.
