Bomber feom SHIG, thanks bro . Poured a deep dark chocolate brown, almist black with a foamy average sized dark beige head. Aroma of light pork smoked skins, wet camp fire, old chocolate, wet dark toast, bad honey sweetness. Flavor is actually pretty close to the aroma. Body is sort of meh, thinner body, average carbonation. Decent.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread, cookie), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of smoke (campfire and smoked meat) and toffee. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. A bit syrupy and rather sweet, but nice smoke character and overall a solid beer.

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out smoke notes upfront, followed by toasted chestnuts and a touch of dark fruit. Flavour is extremely well-balanced, with moderate smoke notes, followed by caramel, and toasted nuts. Very nice stuff - equal stuff between doppelbock and smoked beer.

Draft at Uber. Clear dark ruby pour with ring of bubbles. A few splotches of irregular lacing. Aroma: bandaid smoke; dark fruit; mild chocolate. Taste: mouth full of smoke, with leather, lush malts. Malty without being particularly sweet, with a minimally bitter, warming finish. Palate: full body, average carbonation, smooth texture. Overall: this is a smoked beer I can get behind. Nice.
