Commercial Description:
Inspired by local artist & roaster Michael Allen's eccentricly-named blend of coffee beans, Midnight Sun's brewers designed a beer recipe and infusion process that perfectly captures the alluring aroma, satisfying flavor and curious legend of Allen's Arctic Rhino Coffee. Arctic Rhino Coffee Porter combines two quintessential Pacific Northwest favorites: coffee and ale. The result is wonderfully romantic and robust--a duel-fueled porter that melds charismatic dark malt with freshly roasted coffee beans. The (un)rest is up to you.

Bottle: Thanks IndianaRed for this one. Pours a fairly dark black color, small brown head. The nose is robust and smoky with lots of coffee undertones. The flavor is sweet and roasty, light astringency and a decent coffee/mocha flavor toward the backend. Some subtle chocolate and lots of smoke. Good intense porter.

Bottle Pours a brown/black witha small light tan head and spotty lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts and plenty of coffee. Flavor is again mainly coffee and smokey malts. Little Hop bitterness or ABV notes. Medium bodied and a long lingering bitter trailer

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a modest tan head and nice lacing. The nose is rich with coffee and heavily roasted malt. Coffee in the name, coffee dominates the flavor. More roasted malt and hints of bittersweet cocoa. Thanks Indiana Red for sharing.

Aroma is huge malt and coffee bean mix, that is quickly beaten down to a strong coffee bean flavor. Taste is strictly coffee shop bean aroma and roasted malt taste, with a thickish but pleasant coffee bitter taste at the end. Not overpowering ,but a smooth tastey coffee sipper . Have yet to taste a bad Alaskan brew

Courtesy of puzzl. Thank you, sir. At first the aroma is a touch dusty, but that clears up and cocoa, coffee and chocolate stand out along with some mild roasted malt notes. The body is black and holds a firm and lasting mocha colored head. The first sip seems a bit thin, but the flavor is fairly nice witht he expected coffee/esspresso and chocolate notes and a restrained toasted/roasted malt presence. Gets a touch earthy/dusty again (like the aroma) in the finish, but overall a very pleasant brew.

This porter pours a deep black color from a 22oz bottle. Large to medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is coffee beans, chocolate and roasted malts. A medium bodied Porter. Malts are coffee, chocolate and roasty. Lots of coffee flavors which linger in the back of your throat. Hops are earthy and floral. There is also a touch of smoke. The coffee flavors along with the roasty malts dominate the flavors in this beer. Nice carbonation. Good balance. Excellent if you like coffee porters and stouts. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter
