Pours an honest brown/red/black with a fizzy, dissipating tan head. Nose is subdued, mild coffee notes thought not as rich as one would expect. On taste, it’s a bit tinny, some old coffee, clean bitterness, lingering fruity notes. Okay, far from a great coffee beer. KAggie97 (2427), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Pours a deep, rich mahogany with an aroma of thin. striking brewed coffee and a touch of chocolate. Nice, thick head of light beige and spotted brown. Flavor is tobacco-ish coffee. That’s it. Not much more to say on that front. Light palate that leaves a pleasant film but lacks the thickness I like in a porter. Still, a wonderfully tasty brew that is as advertised; sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and Freud is smiling. Crit (2401), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada
