COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Also labeled under the "Alaska’s Most Wanted" series.

Bottle. Pours a near-black color with a moderate darker brown head on there (with a fairly aggressive pour). Nose is quite roasty with some wood elements poking through along with dark fruit and hints of licorice. Taste is smooth and chocolatey with some roasty and whiskey elements to it. Really interesting beer.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2015 22 oz bottle. Aroma: roasty, malty, chalky, and boozy, with hints of chocolate, leather, tobacco, and prune juice. Taste/Palate: sweet, syrupy, and creamy; starts crisp, and finishes astringent and slightly tart.

Poured from a 22. Aroma is chocolatey and boozy. Aroma is boozy with a sweet-ish chocolate finish. The flavor is a bit too boozy for me but the chocolatey finish is pretty great!

The most absurdly thick beer I have ever poured. The nose is rich and chocolatey with a tiny twinge of metal. In the mouth it leans almost in a too-rare meat direction but saves itself with some nice brandy and chocolate flavor. Not as heavy as it looks. Very good, not perfect.

Pours jet black and thick as motor oil. Thin brown head. Aroma of raisin, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, bitter chocolate. Mouthfeel is thick and viscous - yum! Taste is booze and raisin upfront finishes bitter chocolate and EtOH dryness. Overall very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured like motor oil with a dark brown color and no head at all. Aroma has huge malts, molasses, bourbon, and heat. Mouth feel is so heavy and thick with sugars and very low carbonation. Flavor gets so aggressive with the malts, heavy molasses, bourbon, bits of maple sap, and plenty of heat on the finish. This is so big it is chewy just lingering with so much sweetness.

Draft sampled at Torst with Brendan and Maggi. Pours a deep brownish black body with thick brown lacing. Aroma is chocolate, maple, sweet caramel candies and light oak. Mouthfeel is thick and luscious with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, maple, light oak, some red wine and light tobacco. This was drinking pretty nice!

Nice blend of flavors. Bourbon is integrated smoothly into rest of beer. Bursting with nice roastiness, dark fruit, and slight spicy bitterness. Don't really get much in the way of maple but there is enough going on here that it doesn't matter. Oily mouthfeel and a touch too much carbonation. Fun and good. Smooth for the abv.
