Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Pours thick and black with a dark creme head. Aromas of sweet fruits like dates and raisins, spices, vanilla, and anise. The mouthfeel is wonderfully thick and oily, coats the palate well. Rich chocolate, oily, coffee, molasses, and licorice combine to make this one special. The finish is wonderfully long and bitter.

750ml bottle shared with some buddies. 08í vintage I believe. Dark jet black pour, very thick texture with a brown head. Aroma has hints of vanilla, booze (bourbon), coffee and maple. Flavor has a lot of good chocolate notes to it with malt and maple showing up as well. A very well brewed and balanced beer.

one of the darkest pours iíve ever seen with a thin fizzy dark brown head that disappears fast. definitely picking up some dark fruit and barrel aromas. such a smooth taste from a bottle thatís prolly about 2 years old. little bit of tingle on the lips from the high ABV. delicious dark roasty flavor with some noticeable dark fruit taste to it. Finish is amazingly smooth, with some more of that dark fruity taste lingering around. this beer ages to perfection.

I had this at dld. Appearance is black, not much to note. The aroma is a little light some coffee, vanilla a little wood. Tasting it its very hard to tell it was barrel aged, there is a little wood to it but I think its muted by using of red wine barrels too. This is a good stout, not great, probably not worth searching out.

Courtesy of my homies. Oily black, minimal head, growing legs. Aroma is pretty freakin tough. Chocolate, maple syrup, light bourbon, vanilla, spot on. Flavor on par, not as sweet as aroma suggests, light roast comes through. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, but works. Pretty solid brew, well done.

2010 vintage generously shared by shadowane. Pours pitch black and completely opaque without a hint of lighter color when held to a light and a 1.5 finger frothy dark mocha head with good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring. Sporadic splotches and chunks of lacing left behind. Sweet, slightly roasted aroma with hints of roasted coffee bean, silky chocolate, honey, molasses, bittersweet dark chocolate, tobacco and cedar. Slightly leathery with some earthy oak tannis as well as some faint vanilla. The barrel character is evident but not over powering in the nose letting the other scents shine through. Chewy medium body thatís on the fuller end with a slightly dry, bitter hop presence and a very roasted malt character. Deep roasted flavor up front with silky bittersweet dark chocolate, coffee/espresso bean and oatmeal. This is countered by a nice creamy lactic presence, that along with the molasses and honey, adds complexity and fullness to the palate. This gives this beer itís viscosity and sweetness and compliments the earthy oak very nicely. The ABV is excellently masked with little to no heat making it incredibly quaffable. There is subtle heat and warmth in the finish but itís very faint. Itís unbelievable that this beer is 12.7%. would have guessed under ten percent. Insanely drinkable at this strength. Overall, I was very impressed with this beer and thought that it was much more complex, flavorful and drinkable than the 09 Kate the Great which was also opened tonight. Highly recommended!
