Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Bottle shared by moejuck & spector at C-Bus 6, thanks guys! Black pour with red edges and a tan head. Aroma of bready malt molasses and light elements of bourbon. Flavors of chocolate and coffee stood out coupled with vanilla, oak and othe bourbony traits. Thick mouthfeel, roasty/chocolate finish. MY love for this is ticking clock.

2007 bottle. Maybe this suffered from following the Abyss, but I donít think so. The bottle I got sent from Anchorage was not up to the reputation of Midnight Sun. Black beer with a frothy chocolate brown head. The nose had an odd acetate, celery and balloon sense about it. The flavors showed green coffee bean, celery leaf, some berry fruit and something plastic. Alcohol is too present among the flavors. I expected more from Midnight Sun, and will re-rate if I get the chance in case this was a bad bottle.

Bottle thanks to moejuck and spector. Poured pitch black with not much head at all. Aroma was of chocolate, some alcohol, and some dark fruits. Flavor was of chocolate, coffee, and fruitness. A little hoppy bitterness and some alcohol. Also some burning on the tongue that seemed a little acidic.

22oz 2007 bottle. huge thanks to Andy (puzzl) for throwing this in unexpectedly in a trade!! pours a thick black color with reddish tan head. looks great! the aroma is so amazing, bursting with sweet chocolate, dark fruits, and whiskey that really adds complexity and depth to it. flavor is quite has impresive as the nose but still has nice loads of raisins and dark fruits, vanilla, bakerís chocolate, and licorice. some slight oak and coconut in the finish. iíd prefer some more roasted malts though. mouthfeel is a tad thin and slightly creamy but alcohol is well hidden. this actually reminded of the nose of dark lord with the flavor of deschutes the abyss but not as annoyingly chewy. thanks again Andy!

Thank you Andy, I donít know who you are, and Degarth for sharing with me!

This shit was Good! Charred black bodyÖ dark khaki head, aroma of dark fruits, coco, coffee, brown sugar, hints of vanilla and oak chips, the bold ABV is hidden like a bandit. On the sweeter side of Impy Stout, a lesser hopping is great for this style, IMO. Velvety creamy body, sticky, chewy, and richÖ really damn good, I really do love this brewery!

Courtesy of Puzzl. Thank you, Andy. Shared with Matta on what I have taken to thinking of as his beer patio. The aroma is at first heavily coffee accented and then gives way to some light oak, vanilla and pineapple notes. The roasted and burnt grain elements seem very muted, but it does smell good. The body is a dark brown/black and holds a mocha colored head that fades at a good pace, but teases back up easily. The first sip is coffee and dark cocoa followed by vanilla, cream, pineapple, oak and very faint bourbon. It has a softness to the mouthfeel and is a little more reserved than many Imperial Stouts, but I find myself appreciating that quality to it and I rather enjoy the overall effect. Itís a little different, but it tastes very good and seems almost sessionable despite the 10.4% abv.

22oz bottle shared at Columbus tasting 6 by moejuck and spector - Pours black with a fair tan head. Lots of fruity notes abound in the aroma of this one. A little bannana, and maybe even some cherry blend with the usual coffee, and roast. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, black currant, some slight bourbon and oak. Quite complex and tasty. Well carbonated on the palate with a slight astringency. Very nicely done.

Bottle shared by moejuck & spector at C-Bus 6: Very black pour with a tan head. Aroma, chocolate, soft roasted malts, and a hint of coffee. Flavor, dark fruits, some coffee, a bit of chocolate, and just a trace of alcohol. Pretty nice imperial stout. My love for this is like a truck...
