Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Serious stuff. Straight coffee, chocolate, vanilla cream and bourbon on the nose and palate. Rich, creamy, full bodied goodness. Very balanced. High alcohol is present, though nearly hidden by intense flavors. Flavors linger for minutes. Awesome stuff. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Bottle, 2013. appearance: Motor oil, viscous legs, no head, deep and dark (not black); aroma/taste: brown sugar, molasses, oak (like, wood); syrup? Fudge. Cardboard oxidation. Pretty sweet, muted roasty finish. Almost buttery. palate: Slick, thick, full body, soft carb; only slightly boozy. Overall: good and decadent; do I taste rye? Definitely not a favorite, though.

Pours black in the glass. Wonderful coffee and cocoa liqueur aroma. Flavor is just like the aroma, coffee, cream, cocoa liqueur. Overall, very awesome and very tasty. Thanks as always to BarZigKin for his generosity.

Aroma is of maple syrup, bourbon, molasses, sweetness, tobacco and winey notes. Taste is moderately sweet with molasses, maple syrup, tobacco, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, boozy notes and light wine. Full bodied. Medium carbonation. Slightly winey. Rich and luscious. Sweet without being cloying. Vinous. Really complex. Loved it.

Bottle. Opaque black with nice brown foam. Aroma is chocolaty, boozy, light spiciness, lots of winey notes, hint of maple. Taste of red wine, dark boozy fruits and a really roasty finish. Palate is rich without being cloying, good carb, easy sipper, very good.

Exquisite Big Beer. Viscous roasted malt base. Impeccably balanced sweetness, presumably from the maple syrup and molasses. ABV of 12.7% is just barely perceptible. Strong bourbon infusion, perhaps a hair too much. A- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
