Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Draft sampled at Torst with Brendan and Maggi. Pours a deep brownish black body with thick brown lacing. Aroma is chocolate, maple, sweet caramel candies and light oak. Mouthfeel is thick and luscious with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, maple, light oak, some red wine and light tobacco. This was drinking pretty nice!

Nice blend of flavors. Bourbon is integrated smoothly into rest of beer. Bursting with nice roastiness, dark fruit, and slight spicy bitterness. Don't really get much in the way of maple but there is enough going on here that it doesn't matter. Oily mouthfeel and a touch too much carbonation. Fun and good. Smooth for the abv.

This beer pours a beautiful black color with a reddish brown tinted head. Aroma of bourbon and molasses. It has a slightly sweet flavor and a tiny bite especially considering it is over twelve percent. One of my favorites for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours very thick looking black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some bourbon and oak and light vanilla, molasses, chocolate, and some light dough. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Thick texture. A really good beer.

Bottle (22oz $16): Black with brown head. Smells of bourbon and chocolate. Tastes like roasted chocolate and bourbon. Finishes sweet but other flavors are to strong for me to taste maple.

22 oz bottle shared by Huhzubendah, thanks Matt! Pours a thick dark brown/near black with a dark tan head that lasts at the edge. The beer is so thick that my fingerprints on the glass are reflected on the meniscus. Aroma is rich and complex - cocoa, red wine tannins, cinnamon, roasted malt, bourbon, and bittersweet chocolate. Flavor is intense and delicious - roast and chocolate malt, balanced and complex. Where to begin? Cinnamon and spice aspects are subtle, but worth mentioning. Alcohol is well-masked under a delicious combination of vanilla, oak, bourbon and molasses. Outstanding, what a terrific beer.

Black body with a half inch of thick beige head. Wonderful aroma with bourbon, maple syrup, dark fruits, oak, wine tannins, vanilla. Delicious and every bit as complex as the aroma promised. A joy to sip and savor. What a fabulous beer. World class.

Pitch black colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bourbon, molasses and liquorice root. Sweet flavour, molasses, light salt (salty liquorice?), caramel and bitter coffee. Full body. Finish malts, coffee and bourbon.
