Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

22oz bomber via trade. Poured a viscous super oily pitch black body with a dark brown mocha head that was a bit to foamy to rate it a 5. Aroma of liquid chocolate, syrup, molasses, honey, dark fruits, fruit cake batter. Full syrupy body with lighter to average carbonation that finishes slightly dry for how big of a beer this is, no hint of the monster ABV either. Flavor of burnt dark fruit, charred wood, dry molasses, dark chocolate, syrup, vanilla extract, dark rum soaked cherries and a hint of cardboard. Great stuff here.

Bottle, huge thanks to Dave for sharing. Pours out black with not much of a small tan head. Aroma is of roast, bourbon, light chocolate, dark-dried fruits, light tell of the alcohol. Taste is complex, sweet syrup, chocolate, roast, light earthy soil, bourbon, molasses, raisins, warming, lightly boozy finish, but not as big of a booze punch as could accompany the ABV. Smooth, appropriately thick mouthfeel. This was good stuff.

Why is it that every-time i think of trying this beer the berserker scene from clerks starts playing in my head..BERSERKER..anyway thanks to ferris for sharing this one, the nose is massive, lots of bourbon, some roasted malts. The taste is much the same..it’s funny the BA stout we tried before this was a good example of how not to overpower a stout with a bourbon barrel. This one is the exact opposite, the vanilla, oak and ash dominate the palate, doesn’t leave much room for the stout to come through. Still tasty though.

Bottle to pint glass Bourbon...lots of bourbon...then creme, vanilla, and oak. Wow...this is cloyingly sweet and quite bourbony.

Bottle - Bourbon and roast malts. Jet black with a decent dark brown head. Dark molasses, chocolate, bourbon and soy sauce. Very rich and nice but not worth the hype.

5 oz pour at June tasting at Doug’s. 2010 bottle. Great aroma, chocolate, caramel, soy sauce, tobacco. Taste is rich chocolate with lots of caramel, soy sauce, licorice, and light charred wood. Thin body but I don’t mind it here as much as I usually do. Very smooth and a little oily. Abv very well hidden. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at RBWG-JAX. Black pour with a nice tan head. Rich aroma shows char, charcoal, whiskey, berries, dark fruit, tobacco, wood, and oh so much more. The flavor shows a smooth but bitter kick, more of that char, wood, roasted malts, dark fruits, and more. Delish!
