COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Also labeled under the "Alaska’s Most Wanted" series.

Pour pitch black, with a huge slightly fizzy tan head, that turns into a small ring of creaminess. Aroma of bourbon, slight dark fruits, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some green notes as well, booze, slight banana. Some faint hints of the syrup (not enough, if you ask me) - but becomes more and more present as this bad boy warms up) The taste is sweet upfront, with some roasty and slightly bitter aftertaste. Semi-full body, with a rather flat carbonation. This really envovles in the glass. Big thanks to Ryan for sending me this.

This beer is delightfully dynamic and completely insane. Other reviewers seem to disagree, but the aroma is my favorite part--intense dark chocolate, port, tobacco, mild smoke and maple sugar. Stellar. Despite the permanent stain this beer appears to leave on my glass, it isn’t quite as full-bodied and creamy as I expected. Looks like a steakhouse, drives like a bistro. This beer is worth it for the aromatics alone, though!

22oz bottle pours a thick black color with a dark brown head. Low carbonation. Smooth toffee that blends well with a subtle bourbon flavor.

Poured from a bomber into a goblet on 02.08.15. A: Bourbon, German chocolate cake, molasses, and cherry. It has a very rich smell. Bourbon is strong. A: 1/2 finger dark brown head. It quickly fades to a ring with some spots of foam. Midnight black body with no red. T: Bourbon, German chocolate cake, and cherry dominate. P: Surprisingly thin for 12.7% ABV. Smooth, but watery. O: The alcohol is hidden well. The aroma is awesome, but the taste is disappointingly muted.

[2/15/15] Draught at City Beer in San Francisco. Black with a beautiful dark brown head. Big aroma of dark chocolate, liqueur and some coffee. Flavor full of chocolate, cocoa, some coffee and a bit of liqueur. Big thick mouthfeel. Wonderful.

courtesy of fiulijn; my Ratebeer’s rating #10’000 - pitch black beer with no head, leaves black traces on the side of the glass; light woody and with strong notes of chocolate, dark fruits, maple syrup, caramel and molasses; full-bodied, some sweetness, thick and sticky, a fair earthy bitterness and a long aftertaste of molasses, Bourbon, wood, black cherries and maple syrup again with a warming alchol presence - massive and very good

Sample at HMOG. Super sweet and soy sauce. Big body, big viscous texture. Not quite my speed as far as how I like my stouts at this point. Big aggressive chewy malt body and sweetness. Dark and rich.

Bottle: Thanks, Mike. Jet black, oily squid’s ink with the smallest khaki trace. No head. Heavy dark chocolate syrup aroma, light fudge cake, brown sugar, plums, tobacco, & a hint of anise. Flavor of toasted, charred brown sugar, anise, rich plums, chocolate, faint molasses, earthy tobacco in the finish, & a very mild onset of papery oxidation. Dense cocoa & burnt brown sugar finish with a touch of anise & dark fruit. Thick body. Good.
