COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Pours as thick dark black as described with just a fantastic huge creamy dark cocoa brown head. Aroma brings some molasses and maple for sure, brown sugar, leather, red wine, and some smoky malts. The flavor is rich, complex, and delicious with big cocoa, red wine, smooth and sweet whiskey, and a bitter smooth cocoa ending.

On tap at Spuyten Duyvil NYC, pours oily black brown with a finger of dark brown head. Nose is awesome, rich roasty dark bitter chocolate, molasses, dark fruit, vanilla, char, coffee, bourbon. Palate is heavy on the charred chocolate, burnt brownie, bourbony vanilla, dark fruity molasses, some subtle oak. Finishes bitter, big and roasty, some semi sweet dark fruity cacao, nutty molasses, some maple sweetness. Great.

650 ml bottle shared by Willrunforbeer last evening. 2014 vintage. Great looking thick mocha head sitting on top a pitch black liquid. Aroma is rich with molasses, maple sugar, chocolate and mild barrel.

The mouthfeel is thick, chewy and creamy. Lots of molasses up front turning into dark fruits and maple before ending on very mild whiskey barrel. After drinking half a snifter the warming of the alcohol gets nice, warms the belly. I enjoy huge stouts… this is my JAM!!! Glad I have another bottle in my cellar thanks to SHIG!
