COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Also labeled under the "Alaskaís Most Wanted" series.

Shared bottle with Timfoolery at City Beer in SF. This is probaby the best beer Iíve ever had. Pours a dark brown almost black and smelled of molasses and anise with a hint of chocolate. Looks like it was aged awhile. It was incredibly smooth on the palate and just a malt lovers delight. Tobacco, chocolate, and molasses dominted the flavor. I need to find another bottle of this. WOW!!!

22 oz bottle shared by Huhzubendah, thanks Matt! Pours a thick dark brown/near black with a dark tan head that lasts at the edge. The beer is so thick that my fingerprints on the glass are reflected on the meniscus. Aroma is rich and complex - cocoa, red wine tannins, cinnamon, roasted malt, bourbon, and bittersweet chocolate. Flavor is intense and delicious - roast and chocolate malt, balanced and complex. Where to begin? Cinnamon and spice aspects are subtle, but worth mentioning. Alcohol is well-masked under a delicious combination of vanilla, oak, bourbon and molasses. Outstanding, what a terrific beer.

Black body with a half inch of thick beige head. Wonderful aroma with bourbon, maple syrup, dark fruits, oak, wine tannins, vanilla. Delicious and every bit as complex as the aroma promised. A joy to sip and savor. What a fabulous beer. World class.

Pitch black colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bourbon, molasses and liquorice root. Sweet flavour, molasses, light salt (salty liquorice?), caramel and bitter coffee. Full body. Finish malts, coffee and bourbon.

From bottle during the BeerMongers Fifth Anniversary Bottle Share. Pitch black color. Aroma is molasses, jerky, and cocoa nibs. Taste is similar, but with more cocoa and bourbon notes. A smooth beast of a beer.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2014 "Wish lister. Hasnít been 10. anything for a long while (12.7 on the bottle and other sites) and has a new label. Brewed with molasses and maple syrup, aged in bourbon. Hard to go wrong there, and they donít. This is my new favorite from them. Black as night even held up to the light with a tight firm cocoa head. The only fault is a little heat shows, but itís still smooth. Wonderful aroma and flavor of oak barrels, roasted chocolate and coffee malt, tons of molasses. Maple in the backgroundm comes out a little mmore in the aftertaste, otherwise the flavor matches the aroma with maybe a hint of licorice as well. Mighty fine brew." 10/14 - on tap the heat is nearly GONE, molasses more background with more maplebourbon. fantastic. 4.3 bottle, 4.5 tap.

On tap @ Uber. Pours thick inky black with medium dark cocoa colored head. Aroma is super dark roasty malt, dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla, port, molasses, soy sauce. Taste is similar: charred dark malt dominates with big chocolate flavor as well. Canít say Iíve even tasted tobacco in a beer before, but itís there, maybe a note. Plenty of molasses, but I donít get any maple syrup here. Really big beer. Boozy, and the port definitely stands out, but minimal bourbon or barrel-aged notes. Quite good, but a notch below Abyss or Parabola.

660 ml bottle - shared with kraddel and dennoma, courtesy of spdyfire80something - Thanks Bryan C. Turner!. Pours dark brown to black with a nice deep purple hue. Steady head, creamy foam. Incredible lacing.. Intense liquorice aroma, slight molasse, but lots of chocolate and cacao. Nice stout! Alcohol and bourbon hidden fairly well.
