Commercial Description:
When the loveable "hopheads" at Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse requested a winter version of alehouse favorite Sockeye Red IPA, our brewers instinctively spawned CoHoHo Imperial IPA. CoHoHo begins with generous measures of pale two-row and specialty malts along with spirit-boosters like maple syrup, brown sugar and honey. Hefty doses of Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops beautifully balance that outrageous malt bill and heighten the festive character of this exuberant beer. Whatever the celebration, make merry with CoHoHo Imperial IPA.

Amber colored, small layer of a head. Hoppy, raison but also toffee nose. Intense roasted maltiness in the beginning with a crisp hoppy kick in the end. Pine finish.

Pours a rusty tan with a huge creamy head that never fades. Aroma of mild citrusy hops, english yeast fruitiness, and a clean sweet maltiness. Flavor is the same as the aroma but with a slight addition of spicy hops. The hop aroma and flavor is much less then I would expect from a standard IIPA. The fruitiness is an interesting twist. The finish is a balanced fruitiness and the aftertaste slowly grows bitter cleaning the palate for another sip. Seemed almost like and english IPA recipe that happened to use West Coast hops.

Light amber body with good head. Heavy hop presence on the nose with same on initial taste. Light malt balances the hops through the middle with a smooth balanced finish.

Doesn’t have the piney/hoppy aroma that is typical from a IIPA. Hazy yellow orange. Excellent lace. Very nice at mid glass. Fresh. A little cloying at the back of the tongue. Thanks to Slikwily for including this in his package of beers for my Winter Tating party.

massivly hoppy. Lots of grapefruit and other citrus notes in the arom and taste. There is a bit of a sweet side o it, which made this a nice and complex IPA. Lingering bitter finish.

Apple and hop aroma. Hazy, copper color, off-white head, very nice lace. Sweet, first quite neutral but soon rather hoppy, bitter and fruity. Dry finish. Thank you hopscotch for sending me this beer.

(Dutch ratebeermeeting) Sweetish smell of cascade hops and fruit (apple). Clear, amber/copper coloured with an off-white, lasting head. Taste of much cascade hops, bitterness, sweetness and some fruit. Quite dry brew. Nice.
