Light dusty citrus hop aroma, orange, pine, brown sugar. Taste has a minty orange presense with some spice and cherries as it warms up to room temp. Hop taste is smooth, sweet, and slightly resiny. To me, indicative of a dry hop or hop back thing. Its not a a big IIPA, but still good. Suttree (2708), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Crisp hoppy flavor right up front. Grassy, woodsy hops ton a smoky, even a little chocolatey malt base. As it warms, hints of mint and citrus and even caramel emerge. Very nice. Thanks to Liquid Solutions for selling me this one. BückDich (4830), McCall, Idaho, USA

The aroma is sweet with a nice hopping level. Some definately chinook and other pnw specialties. Very earthy and piney, some citrus. The flavor is stronger with some alcohol notes and a bit of rough bitterness. Finishes creamy and smooth. Not quite as good as I was expecting, but still a decent I2PA. joet (1702), Fulton, California, USA

Piney. floral, blab, blab, blab. I liked it.

Reeeeerate: Nice to try again and by itself, While I’m not sure that I would be worthy of enjoying this as an every day beer, I sure was more impressed the second time around. Were this any more lively I wouold have had to slap it. Head that died down after a while, but was HUGE. Woody, piney, cirusy, y. y, y. y. Muy bueno HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 2, 2004 22 oz bottle-sept. 2003-very dark amber appearance, especially for a IIPA. nice off white rocky head that lasted a long time. lots of yeast action here. aroma is balanced of citrus and piney hops with tones of vanilla and kool-aid. very subtle and smooth palate-very good balance of hops and malt somewhat reminds me of hop devil. Some apple cider tones in the mid-flavors. silky mouthfeal. I think this is a very under-rated IIPA. I loved it! Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA

Smooth richer taste less bitter hoppy taste than Sockeye, more sweet and malty. But don’t think its not hoppy or bitter, it is, just not a regular IPA. Good stuff, try it. You like it if you like northwest beers.
