Flavor is sweet and tart, brown sugar and honey with the hoppy finish. Palate is chewy. Very tasty but not as tart and hoppy as I’d expect, probably has some age on it. Pours a deep, deep clear amber with a big creamy off-white head that lingers as a cap for ages and leaves really good lacing.
Aroma is dominated by a huge citrus hop presence up front with lots of mangos, oranges and pineapples. There is a definite sweet malt base though not much sugar in the nose. Fantastic smell on this one.
The taste has some citrus burn up front but has a much bigger sugary malt base than the aroma suggests. The floral hops come back with a big bitterness that lingers in the finish. Definitely more malt base in the taste to balance the aggressive hop profile.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation and sticky with hop juice.
Another good brew from Midnight Sun though the aroma is the standout with tons of citrus fruit and pine hops with a decent malt backbone. Tasty. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA

Sugary malts mixed with piney, resin hops on the nose. Fresh, dancing pine hops with some grapefruit pith. Some sugar flavors near the end with a nice long bitter finish. Very nice DIPA that is easily drinkable. carruthm (1187), Seattle, Washington, USA
