Commercial Description:
When the loveable "hopheads" at Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse requested a winter version of alehouse favorite Sockeye Red IPA, our brewers instinctively spawned CoHoHo Imperial IPA. CoHoHo begins with generous measures of pale two-row and specialty malts along with spirit-boosters like maple syrup, brown sugar and honey. Hefty doses of Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops beautifully balance that outrageous malt bill and heighten the festive character of this exuberant beer. Whatever the celebration, make merry with CoHoHo Imperial IPA.

22oz - Aroma of brown sugar, caramel and chewy resinous hops. Flavor is sweet and tart, brown sugar and honey with the hoppy finish. Palate is chewy. Very tasty but not as tart and hoppy as I’d expect, probably has some age on it.

Some what syrupy, but a good IPA overall. Citrus type bitterness up front and less on the finish. Good IPA

Bomber. Oct. 06. Beer is clear, medium-dark reddish-brown color. Head is initially small, beige, frothy, medium-large. Diminishes into specks of lacing and a skim of vapor.
The aroma is malty with moderate notes of toasted grain, biscuit, caramel; Hoppy with a light notes of bright lemon, resin; Yeasty with a light note of sour-cream laced dough; Trace miscellaneous note of vanilla.
The flavor is moderately bittersweet, trace bright acidity, the finish is lightly-to-moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Some astringency and alcoholic warmth.
The body is medium, the texture is watery-to-velvety and the carbonation is lively.
Tasty ’nuff.

Thanks to tasting group for the share. Pours copper-amber with an off-white head. Nose is malt, pine, and some hints of red grapefruit. Flavor is caramel, pine, and a nice hop punch. Finish lingers with malty pine. Very enjoyable and lots of malt.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a deep, deep clear amber with a big creamy off-white head that lingers as a cap for ages and leaves really good lacing. Aroma is dominated by a huge citrus hop presence up front with lots of mangos, oranges and pineapples. There is a definite sweet malt base though not much sugar in the nose. Fantastic smell on this one. The taste has some citrus burn up front but has a much bigger sugary malt base than the aroma suggests. The floral hops come back with a big bitterness that lingers in the finish. Definitely more malt base in the taste to balance the aggressive hop profile. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation and sticky with hop juice. Another good brew from Midnight Sun though the aroma is the standout with tons of citrus fruit and pine hops with a decent malt backbone. Tasty.

Very dark brown amber with a nice tan head. Sugary malts mixed with piney, resin hops on the nose. Fresh, dancing pine hops with some grapefruit pith. Some sugar flavors near the end with a nice long bitter finish. Very nice DIPA that is easily drinkable.

Pours clear reddish amber with tons of head dissolving into very robust lacing. Interesting malt backed hop aroma. Taste matches with a nice malty sweetness and a good bitter finish.

Dark orange amber. All grapefruit in the nose. Creamy head, sticky lacing. Caramel, grainy, medium bodied, very sticky, big grapefruit bitterness, but its terribly good. Theres somethin about Alaska...
