| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2004 Bomber, Sept 2003 bottling. Medium reddish maple cast, thick foamy head. Really lovely aroma featuring grapefruit, cherries, orange, very fresh and hoppy. On the tongue, nicely balanced with firm maltiness underlying the bold bitter exterior. Creamy-to-syrupy mouthfeel...fairly bitter but wet and juicy finish, very "green." I like it, but it doesn't seem as finished or complex as a Dreadnaught or 90 Minute. Quite good overall, a good session IIPA. herbjones (742), Orange, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 23, 2003 This brew pours a thick brownish copper pour. Decent cream colored head. Nose is all sappy, resiny pine. Flavor is slightly malty with a big pine forest hop presence. Balance is decent but seems to lack in complexity. Good but there are definitely better Imperial IPA's. brewbandit (312), Marietta, Georgia, USA

Amber to copper color with a moderate off-white head. Earthy malt and citric hops mix well in the nasal passages with a touch of fresh bread and light herb. Flavors of eating a biscuit while on the shores of a remote lake and having a drink of grapefruit juice. Earthy as in the nose. Linger of strong green hops. A nice, more traditional, IPA. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA

The aroma has very dank oniony hops with lightly sweet fruity hops as well as perfume and pine. Medium very smooth body with light semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with toasty malt, sweet dankness and woody / earthy hops. The finish adds light spicy hops. Very good IIPA.
