Commercial Description:
When the loveable "hopheads" at Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse requested a winter version of alehouse favorite Sockeye Red IPA, our brewers instinctively spawned CoHoHo Imperial IPA. CoHoHo begins with generous measures of pale two-row and specialty malts along with spirit-boosters like maple syrup, brown sugar and honey. Hefty doses of Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops beautifully balance that outrageous malt bill and heighten the festive character of this exuberant beer. Whatever the celebration, make merry with CoHoHo Imperial IPA.

Bottle at dark lord day. One of my least favorite releases from MS. Pours and amber body with white head. Aroma is floral hoppiness, sugar, and pine. Flavor is very hoppy with some light fruit.

In short: A highly drinkable refreshing IPA with focus on juicy fruits flavours. Excellent.
How: Bottle 22oz. Sample at Cathschlag birthday party tasting.
The look: Clear copper-ruby body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose of pine-needles and tropical fruits. Body if soft and velvety for the style, a little yeasty, moderately sweet, a whole lot of juicy tropical fruits, some pine-cone juice. The juicy fruity flavours are so dominant that they totally overwhelmed the malt caramel. Round and smooth with a juicy bitterness. This is drinkability over intensity. Wow, that’s a kick-ass IPA, with Midnight Sun Alaska could become the new California, and with the climate changes who knows…

Beautiful garnet color with a frothy khaki head, nice lacing. Medium strong pine sap, citrusy hop aroma. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Great flavors of sweet caramel and brown sugar blending perfectly with bitter grapefruit and pine hop flavors that sting your tongue. Reminds me of Nugget Nectar, heavy on the sweet stuff with a strong hop profile. Great beer.

[Bottle] shared by Skyview. Burnt caramel pour with a moderate tan head. Aroma is pine resin, citric hops, and a pretty good malt backbone. Flavor matches aroma. One of the better balanced DIPA’s I’ve had.

Received a 22-oz bomber from Liquidsolutions.biz and shared with the Minnesota gang at the Heritage Liquors Inauguration beer tasting in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear copper amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates toa fine film and no ring. Aroma of sweet and fruity caramel malt, grapefruit, citrus zest, a touch of lime, and some tropical fruit. Taste is mildly bitter, medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt with some tropical fruit, grapefruit and a touch of pine. Finish is typical double IPA bitterness that lingers a little after the finish.
