Commercial Description:
Voluptuous yet elegant, Epluche-culotte Trippel exudes its free spirit with orangey-amber color topped with a creamy white head. The aroma is sweet, spicy and earthy. The addition of Curacao (bitter) orange peel and whole coriander infuse color, citrus and spice while a special Belgian yeast strain imparts other enticing flavors and aromas during fermentation. Bottle conditioning creates the right effervescence for a perfectly heady experience. In the style of a Belgian Trippel, Epluche-culotte is delicious yet spirited. Originally named Extreme Polar White Bier, it got nicknamed "Panty Peeler" . We say it in French: E'pluche-culotte. The joyride awaits.

I’m not a trippel fan, but this is my kind of trippel. Has more a sweet, candi sugar quality to it rather than being dry and herbal. Orange color with yeasty candy like gummy orange aroma. Whatever head ther was to start with dissapaited quickly. Taste is yeasty with a gummy orange candy flavor. There’s a little lemon bitterness bite at the end. Good for a trippel, but the cany like quality gets a little old towards the end.

22oz bottle. Great white head, super charged sweet orange apricot aroma. Some alcohol and bitterness. Tastes like fruity candy. Rich, robust, heavily spiced beer. Too much so to really trun me on. Still enjoyable though.

(gabf 2003) Sweet fruity aroma that flows into the flavor. A touch of citrus and cinnamon spice. Very nice blend of flavors. Nicely crafted tripel.

A sound brew, perhaps a little less complex than I’d like. It has a bit of that Flintstone’s vitamin character to it that some of the Belgians do -- citrusy and vitaminlike. Tangy, fairly sweet, yeasty, some starchy banana heading into the finish along with some pepper. Mouth is substantial, finish is long and tart.

Picked up at the brewery in Anchorage and it survived a long flight home to Florida. Murky, dark golden to light peach colored pour with a frothy white head and loads of bubble action. Aroma of bubble gum and fresh potpourri, very clean and fresh. Flavor has some white wine elements to it at first with some banana-like estery notes coming in behind. Not overdone with sweetness though. Also detect some non-banana fruitiness - nectarines perhaps. Has a spritzy mouthfeel, but not too carbonated - sits right. Overall a damn good tripel.

Nice full, bready aroma over a cloudy dark yellow color. Complex spicey flavor with a fizzy mouthfeel. Good stuff!

Poured a hazy amber/orange with a large frothy white head. Smells of cloves, peppers, spices, yeasts and citris. Malty sweetness to start then tastes of bananas and spices. Lively carbonation and a dry finish. Alcohol present but well hidden. Very good tripel.

Clear gold pour with a nice head that went away pretty quick. Definate fruit and alcohol aroma. Very nice trippel. Aroma of pepper and fruits (apples and pineapples). Not too happy about the lack of head retention but then again this bottle is about 8 months old.
