Commercial Description:
Voluptuous yet elegant, Epluche-culotte Trippel exudes its free spirit with orangey-amber color topped with a creamy white head. The aroma is sweet, spicy and earthy. The addition of Curacao (bitter) orange peel and whole coriander infuse color, citrus and spice while a special Belgian yeast strain imparts other enticing flavors and aromas during fermentation. Bottle conditioning creates the right effervescence for a perfectly heady experience. In the style of a Belgian Trippel, Epluche-culotte is delicious yet spirited. Originally named Extreme Polar White Bier, it got nicknamed "Panty Peeler" . We say it in French: E'pluche-culotte. The joyride awaits.

Bottle generously opened at hellbilly’s 5th of July tasting. Pours golden in color with a sugary white head of foam. A tripel in appearance only, it seems. Much closer to a golden. Smells and tastes mildly of banana, pear, and caramel against a backdrop of cough syrup - which I’m starting to find in anything from Midnight Sun.

22 ounce Panty Peeler bottle shared by cdumler. Thanks! Pours a murky orange color with lots of floaties, though I got the last of the bottle. Medium head with good head retention and lacing. Aroma is bready and spicy with big citrus notes and a bit of a sharp, spicy herbal note, candi sugar and cotton candy. Taste is bready, citrus, lots of spice and herbal notes, candi sugar, cotton candy, toffee. Tart dry fruity finish, getting mightily close to a mild funkiness. Medium bodied.

Bottle with the "Panty Peeler" label .. much darker than anticipated ... copper. Nice aroma of yeast and herbs. Silky and buttery, this drinks with a sharp mouthfeel ... and delivers the advertised character in BIG ways ... esthers, fruit, herb. Nice. (#3561, 6/23/2009)

Bomber poured a clear golden yellow with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of coriander, orange peel, pear, light yeast and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of pear, coriander, orange peel, spice and light yeast with a smooth lingering spiced finish.

22 oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. This was labeled as Midnight Sun Panty Peeler. Pour is hazed golden, slightly dark golden. Very active carbonation builds up a smallish white head. Aroma of Belgian yeastiness, sharply sweet maltiness, orange peel citrus and a fair amount of additional "spiciness". I picked up coriander, and some Champagne type element. The taste follows the nose quite closely. The yeast, sweet malt, orange citrus and spice all have their turn, and are nicely balanced. Palate is above average carbonation, that goes along with the Champagne type taste quite nicely. Medium body, brief finish. All in all a different, and tasty Trippel.

Bottle. Pours a bubbling golden orange with a small white head. Belgium yeast, soap, coriander, and bubble gum aromas and flavors. Bad alcohol burn at times. Not a big fan.

Panty Peeler poured Golden orange with a big fluffy white head. Citrusy nose. Strong orange peel and coriander flavors. Medium body. A good brew if your into orange curacao flavored beer. Not my favorite from MSBC, but it’s a good brew for the fruit beer people, who dig oranges.
