[1720-20080917] 22floz bottle. Wheat "hotdogs and mustard" or over-cooked ham aroma and a little citrus. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Very wheatie flavour has a citrus yeast finish and mild syrupy pear and lemon zest along the way. Light-medium body. Surprising to come from 06/06/06, but still a great brew.

Thanks to Beerlando for sharing. Pours a cloudy golden color with a bouquet of vanilla, apples and sugar. Light mouthfeel with a bitter finish and more vanilla.

22oz bottle. Thanks to HopHead84 for the tasting. Pours hazy straw yellow with a fizzy white head, specks of lace. Smells yeasty and malty sweet, slightly funky. Tastes funky and malty sweet, slight hay flavor. Medium body, good carbonation.

GAManiac (1944) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - NOV 27, 2008
22oz bomber courtesy of NoonanDBarbarian poured into a snifter. This one poured a clear golden yellow with as much carbonation as I have seen in a beer. The head was two fingers when I poured and it grew to three fingers over the next five minutes due to the continuous stream of bubbles, champagne-like, and leaves sheets of lacing. The aroma is dominated by the light fruits sweetness of apples and pears. There is also some Belgian yeast and hints of some spices as well. The taste starts with a slight fruitiness before giving way the biscuity malts and Belgian yeasts. The finish has more of the pears and apples. The mouthfeel is clean and crazy carbonated but still goes down very, very smooth. This is yet another good offering from MSBC, a highly drinkable Belgian with almost undetectable alcohol presence. Recommended.

Bottle. Hazy dark gold with a tight white head. Good aroma is spicy, yeasty, with bready pale malts and a whiff of barnyard. Medium body. Good earthy yeasty bready pale malt flavors are on the dry side. Has a peppery spicy finish. Easy drinking strong ale.

Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of jerc & mabel. Pours a cloudy dirty yellow with a large lasting frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, light spice, light citrus fruit and some sugary sweetness -- quite nice! Flavour’s dry, spicy and yeasty along with sweet malt and fruit. Alcohol’s well hidden. Good body for the style. Very good -- these guys make some damn fine beers!

2008-09-17. Hazy pastel yellow body with a good sized white head. First impression in the aroma is a lightly spiced frankfurter and mustard. Bizarre, but oddly pleasant. Lord knows what is triggering that sensory experience, but thats what I got. (7+) Flavour is dry and spicy, light alcohol, muted fruit, lemon zest and pepper. Average plus palate is quite carbonated. (3+) Really solid, well made. Bottle from Brown Jug, Anchorage

22oz bottle shared by J&K with me, blankboy and GregClow. Murky yellow with a large fluffy white head. Funky/sour aroma, very dry and yeasty, with an underlying sweet and spicy fruitiness. Sweet and spicy taste, a tad light, mildly funky, some alcohol - very "more-ish." Average bodied, soft mouthfeel - seeemd a lot like a saison on the palate - medium carbonation with a fruity, yeasty finish. Really nice to drink, reminded me of a peel-heavy marmalade.

22oz bottle pours cloudy yellow with a finely-bubbled white head. Nose has some sharpness, some lemon juice and crisp, sweet candy sugar, but also a sweet, doughy softness from the yeast, with some spiced ginger and elderberry surprising the nose. Medium to full body, some brightness up front... candy sugar, spiced bread dough... really reminds me of Duvel, it’s remarkable... a light touch of soapy juniper is left on the tongue after a bright and vibrant finish. Good stuff.
