Slightly hazy yellow pour, with a white head . Fruit, lemon, apricot, sweetness and yeast. Hops are slightly citrusy and herbal. A decent refreshing beer. Although not a style really enjoy.

Bottle… Murky straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Fruity, perfumy aroma – fuzzy fruits, aromatic hops, pale malts and a subtle spicy phenol. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with moderate carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced and quite fruity. Also, yeasty, modestly bitter with matching sweetness and very mildly acidic. Bready, lightly bitter finish that dries right out. Thanks to dimenhetfield for the pour!

Bottle shared at Dstructo/Daknole tasting. Hazy orange color. Slightly fruity aroma with hints of lemon and ginger. Flavor had hints of lemon as well, yeasty as well. A pretty good showing here.

Bomber from City Beer, cost $11.99. Cloudy golden-amber in color with a creamy one finger white head. The aroma is Belgian, hoppy with citrus and earthy notes and some caramel sweetness. Sweet caramel malt flavor with Belgian yeast and spiciness, floral and citrusy. Medium level of carbonation - maybe a little more would have been good. Overall pretty enjoyable but not quite a standout in the style.

22oz bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours golden with an attractive off-white head and a fruit and yeast aroma. There is a fruity barnyard flavor with a huge yeast presence and a tingly bitter finish.

Sampled on 5/7/2011. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to small white foamy head. The aroma is yeasty, fruity and sweet, with hints of apricots and peaches. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very easy drinking. Hides the alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I’m quite surprised to not see this one performing better than it is on the site. I’m extremely impressed myself. Nice eggwhite head, hazy yellow-orange pour. Nose of lemon and yeast, flavor is lemon and pear skin and a fascinating yeast thing going on and this brown sugar thing coming in later in the palate, rather unexpectedly, warming things up in a way that rather to my surprise works extremely well. It’s not as dry as I’m used to in the style, but it works here; this beer is both distinctive and delicious.
