Commercial Description:
Midnight Sun's Fallen Angel Golden Strong Ale, brewed on 6-6-6, is a traditional Belgian-style golden ale--beautiful gold in color with tiny, busy bubbles forming a very thick, creamy head. Effervescent and crisp, this seriously delicious elixir tempts the palate with apple (oh so Garden of Eden), pear and a little earthy mustiness. Fallen Angel captivates your senses with its lightness and brightness while its 8% ABV strength breathes fire into your soul, warming you from the inside out.

22oz bottle. thanks to tim for passing this one along..... pours a clear transparent light yellow-brown with a soapy white head. looks like a duvel....aroma was belgiany with grassy hops and citrus notes. not too engaging..... sweet biscuity malt and citrus notes make up the flavor profile. average mouthfeel.

Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of jerc & mabel. Pours a cloudy dirty yellow with a large lasting frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, light spice, light citrus fruit and some sugary sweetness -- quite nice! Flavour’s dry, spicy and yeasty along with sweet malt and fruit. Alcohol’s well hidden. Good body for the style. Very good -- these guys make some damn fine beers!

2008-09-17. Hazy pastel yellow body with a good sized white head. First impression in the aroma is a lightly spiced frankfurter and mustard. Bizarre, but oddly pleasant. Lord knows what is triggering that sensory experience, but thats what I got. (7+) Flavour is dry and spicy, light alcohol, muted fruit, lemon zest and pepper. Average plus palate is quite carbonated. (3+) Really solid, well made. Bottle from Brown Jug, Anchorage

22oz bottle shared by J&K with me, blankboy and GregClow. Murky yellow with a large fluffy white head. Funky/sour aroma, very dry and yeasty, with an underlying sweet and spicy fruitiness. Sweet and spicy taste, a tad light, mildly funky, some alcohol - very "more-ish." Average bodied, soft mouthfeel - seeemd a lot like a saison on the palate - medium carbonation with a fruity, yeasty finish. Really nice to drink, reminded me of a peel-heavy marmalade.

22oz bottle pours cloudy yellow with a finely-bubbled white head. Nose has some sharpness, some lemon juice and crisp, sweet candy sugar, but also a sweet, doughy softness from the yeast, with some spiced ginger and elderberry surprising the nose. Medium to full body, some brightness up front... candy sugar, spiced bread dough... really reminds me of Duvel, it’s remarkable... a light touch of soapy juniper is left on the tongue after a bright and vibrant finish. Good stuff.

Bomber. Golden in color with a fluffy white head. Sweet spicy aroma. Coriander clove and black peppery notes. Malty fruity spicy flavor. Coriander citrusy notes. Peppery finish. Medium bodied. Well balanced. Very nice beer.
