Aggy360 (62), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA Jul 4, 2009 A clear golden color with an alright head. Strong pilsner aroma with hop notes hidden in there. Taste is about the same, the pils malt is very strong and the hops are in there but hidden. A little too malty for my palate but well made. A bit plain for what MSBC normally does but it is a good starter to craft beer for the Bud/Miller/Coors people. savnac (184), Palmer, Alaska, USA Apr 16, 2009 On tap. Malt aroma with yeast and fruity hints. Clear yellow with a white head. There is a sweetness in this beer that is balanced well with a light sourness. The beer almost has a fruity cider taste. Light bodied that is lively carbonated and has a dry finish. Overall this beer is fairly true to the style and is very drinkable. AmEricanbrew (1493), Port-Au-Shreve, Louisiana, USA Mar 1, 2009 Draft@ MSBC. Clear golden with a white head. Spicy yeasty lager aromas. Medium body. Decent spicy yeasty flavors with lightly sweet pale malts. Not too bad. mabel (2208), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2008 [1695-20080907] Tap. Mildly grainy soap aroma. Clear, yellow brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head and thick rings of lacing. Mild yeast and grains flavour. Light body. Fairly bland but nothing bad about it.
(@ Humpy’s; Anchorage, AK) jerc (3625), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2008 2008-09-07. Crisp yellow body with a modest white ehad and lacing. (3+) Mild aroma of pale malts, (6+) and a similar flavour of light pale malts, light bitterness. (6+) Average to thin bodied palate suits it. Bit dull, but well executed. Not bad though to go with breakfast of eggs and reindeer sausage at Humpy’s! On Tap, Humpy’s, Anchorage Gurst (332), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Aug 25, 2008 Mild, sweet malts. Slightly sour. Like toffee and taffy. Dry, light body. BlackDonald (1040), Concord, North Carolina, USA Apr 5, 2008 On tap at Humpy’s - st. Patrick’s. They had made a special batch of this for Humpy’s, and dyed the beer in the keg green. So I cannot really give appropriate appearance points. I really don’t think this style should be made outside of Cologne, its just never the same to me as drinking a Reissdorf. Biscuity maltiness, extremely crisp, with a hint of herbal hoppiness in the finish, and very dry. jsquire (2012), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Jan 30, 2006 On tap at the 06 Great Alaska Beer and Barley Wine Festival. Big bubbled white head capping a clear, yellow beer. Noticable citrus nose. Light but solid body. Lemon-lime citrus hop flavors on top of the bready malts. Very refreshing lighter beer.
