Miver (376), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2008 Thanks to TomDecapolis for sharing this treat. Poured brownish amber in color with a thin tan head. Aroma of strawberries and brett mostly, but notes of other fruits such as cherries and apples. Tastes of strawberries, sour cherries, light chocolate, funk, and other misc. fruits. Complex brew that was very enjoyable. Thanks again Tom!!!
BrianK (67), New Jersey, USA Jul 28, 2008 Stone Sourfest. Pours dark brown. Sweet flavor with a tart follow up. Not the best sour i’ve ever had but not a bad beer by any means. fordest (1684), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Sour from the beginning. Aromas were tart fruit, grapes, cherry, berry. Flavors were similar with an acidic finish. Some wood flavors mixed in there too. Good stuff. DaSilky1 (1590), San Diego, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Muddy chestnut brown with just a small island of bubbles settling on top. Nose was interesting nothing other than Kalamata olives with some dark woody accents...which at that point, I wasn’t sure I liked until had a taste of the beer...Uniquely thin bodied vinous flavors, sweet grapes at the start but ending on a dry note. This beer was as clean as clean can be from first sip to the very finish...not a single off flavor floating around anywhere. My only potential issue was that it might be a tad too thin and one dimensional but on the other hand, that just may be the appeal. padrefan98 (592), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Sampled at the Second Anual Stone Sour Festival on 7/20/2008. Worthy of the two tickets. Very nice sour ale. Flavors of tart crab apple and cherries. One of my favorites. Snojerk321 (943), San Diego, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 Rating # 900! Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2008. One of the better sours at the fest. Pours a hazed medium brown with a thin off white ring. Nose of tart berry fruits, flavor was a strange but awesome combo of tart cherries and strawberries with some oak and chocolate.
