UPDATED: MAY 28, 2014 Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a hazy orange/amber colored body with a one finger white foamy head. Light lacing slides practically immediately into the body. The smell had some orange, some tangerine, just a tad of wheat. The taste had all of the previously mentioned flavors with a touch of oiliness, orange aftertaste, dry finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a medium, and was slightly sessionable. Carbonation still holds some strength even though I’m having this a little older than I probably should. Carbonation is good for the style and for me - pretty much spot on. Overall, a wheat DIPA, hey I like the idea, and I will definitely look for this one every summer that I live in Alaska.

Bottle. Citrus bomb. A bit heavy on the malt side, which brings my rating down a bit. Could be balanced a better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours a pale and cloudy. Citrus and mango fruit nose. Bold flavors of grapefruits and peach. The wheat must make the malts more delicate, which seems to mix better with the bitterness. Spicy bite in the finish. Very refreshing for such a big beer. Damn good!

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, hazy orange pour with thin white head, thanks Aaron! Aroma brought notes of soap, caprylic acid notes, with hints of white fruits, hints of oak, slight grass, hints of orange peel. Taste is a mix of white fruit, lots of caprylic acid, hints of white fruit, slight grass, orange, finishing fairly bitter, slightly soapy. Too bad.

On tap at Toronado. It’s a hazy orange colored beer topped by a small, white head leaving curtains. The aroma is fruity, sweet and lightly grassy and spiced. Sweet flavor with some pale malts and fruityness. Some bitterness, but initially and in the end. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Quite bitter finish actually. Not the most interesting beer of the day, but drinkable indeed. 130804
