wetherel (914), Carlsbad, California, USA Mar 5, 2008 Tasted at 2008 Woodshop hosted by cquiroga. Wow. Great aroma with lots of pumpkin and some chocolate. One of my favorites tonight. Mellowed perfectly with age. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. badbeer (391), Iowa, USA Jul 6, 2008 Pours black with a tan head that retains very well and leaves good lacing behind. Smells of cinnamon, charcoal, pumpkin pie, chocolate, and clove. Chocolate, pumpkin pie, cloves, nutmeg, caramel, brown sugar, and a touch of ginger. A touch less than medium body and lighter than medium carbonation. This is a really tasty and fun beer, wish I could get this more regularly. Thanks to AKBelgianBeast for the bottle. awaisanen (1116), Irvine, California, USA Apr 4, 2008 From a 22oz Bottle. Mostly transparent, fudgey dark brown colored pour with a thick head of creamy tan.
Wonderfully complex, pumpkin pie nose that brings out elements of ginger and nutmeg spice among a rich toffee malt
base. If anything, the ginger is a smidgen strong for my liking, but I find myself especially sensitive to this
brewing ingredient and this is definitely on the more conservative end of the ginger beer spectrum. Freshly baked
pecan pie, brown sugar, and a light chocolate nougat malt richness in the middle. Medium bodied, lightly
carbonated mouthfeel with a creamy texture. Flavors of chocolate fudge up front, rich and silky, softened by a
smooth vanilla toffee character. Nutmeg, cinnimon, and ginger spice clearly visible, but soft and accenting,
melding perfectly with the ample malt base. Perfect palate - silky smooth texture with an incredible malt base
and superb pumpkin pie spice balance and clean execution. unclemattie (1522), Georgia, USA May 10, 2008 22oz bottle, 7.8% ABV, 30IBUs, Vintage 2007. Pours dark brown. Big pumpkin pie aroma. nice spice. Chocolate - pumpkin. Flavor is rich squash flavors. Great character. Finishes with chocolate. I just love pumpkin beers. gunhaver (541), Tampa, Florida, USA May 4, 2008 Updated: Jun 5, 2008Bottle, courtesy timmcd64. Pours a dark brown color, with a giant foamy head, and thick, dripping lacing. Aroma is chock full of pumpkin spices, nutmeg, caramel, roasted malts...Big roasted malt flavors. Pumpkin is big and present, distant alcohol. Mostly overpowered by the vanilla finish. Very smooth, drinks as easy as a glass of milk.
