3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brown pour with a big tan, 2 finger head. Aroma of a farm field full of grain. Hints of cereal and biscuit. Medium mouth. Taste is full of barley and bread. A little cereal too. Aftertaste is slightly sweet followed by the lingering grain. Pretty easy drinking.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/13/2012. Pours lightly hazy reddish brown color with a nice 1-2 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, molasses, toffee, earth, herbal, and a light metallic note. Nice and pleasant aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, chocolate, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, molasses, and light earthiness. Hardly any bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, molasses, and earth on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance and robustness; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. A light metallic off note was present; but it was only noticed after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good brown ale. Nicely robust and balanced in flavor; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of a kind soul at the Tampa Crew weekly tasting. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Nose is toasted malts, nuts, some sweet malt, and some earthy hops. Flavor follows the nose with toasted malts and some nuts into the finish with mild hops tagging along. Medium in body and an interesting brown overall.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From 12 oz. can to glass
Appearance: Pours brown with a thin tan film of tight bubbles.
Aroma: Chocolate roast, walnuts and bread crust.
Taste: Roasted malt, bread crust, euro hop spice with a little twang at the end.
Mouthfeel: On the thin side of medium bodied and prickly.
Overall: A brown ale that wasn’t bad but didn’t knock my socks off. Very easy to drink for those not looking for a sessionable hoppy pale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a firm layer of patchy foam where as the liquid was a darker than usual brown color for a brown ale. In the aroma, there is a soapy nose that has a delicate scent of nuts and toast malt. The flavor is a little strange but there are some characteristics of a semi sweet toasted malt base that hints towards an assortment of raw nuts. However, I’m not that impressed and could have easily mistaken this as Newcastle brown ale in a blind folded taste test.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty decent for a brown. Pours a dark robust brown and the taste has a hint of hops. Not too much going on with it

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Deep brown color. One and a half fingers of frothy tan head. Retention is a hair below average and a good sized ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: Big toastiness with almond nuttiness close behind. The result smells a good bit like dog kibble, which I sort of like. Caramel after that. Semi-dry. Not overly complex, but powerful and pleasant.
3.5 T: Tastes even more like how dog kibble smells. Toasty and nutty. On the drier side, but still well balanced. Light caramel. Big, bold flavors that work well.
4.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Excellently creamy and super smooth.
4.0 D: A bit strange tasting, but I like it and the mouthfeel is awesome. Solid beer.
