| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Bottle, purchased at Thibideau’s in Juneau. Bright red-brown, thick tan head leaving generous lace. Very bready aroma, along with nuts and chocolate. Breadcrusts, caramel, mild nutty and chocolatey notes. Hops were there too, but really take a back seat to the malt here. Very nice. savnac (419), Palmer, Alaska, USA

One of my favorite beers from Midnight Sun Brewery, always good on tap and decent out of the bottle. hoppybeers4me (15), Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2008 On tap at the brewery July 11. Easy to drink brown ale. Nothing really special, was mildly disappointed, but still bought the long sleeved Tshirt, since the art is really great on all of the Midnight Sun products. Would be happy to give it another try next visit, as it’s hard to fairly rate beers when you are trying so many styles back to back. beerbill (1944), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Pours a mostly clear brown with a moderate tan head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and left a nice curtain of lace all the way to the end. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, a hint of coffee, and a leafy aroma. The flavor is again lightly roasted malt and a bit of coffee, followed up by some mild-moderate hops. Light-medium bodied. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Bomber from Liquid Solutions, first beer of the July 4th, shared with Cyn and her parents, while prepping for the party. Pours brown with a 1 finger puffy head. Nose is sweet with hints of caramel. Taste is also sweet and lightly full bodied. Not bad, not amazing. presario (2956), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 31, 2008 Big bottle. Dark brown. Frothy head finishes a bit clumpy. Rather light scent. Very good malt taste and full body. Malt is thick and almowt heavy. Lots of chocolate and nut flavour. Skyview (4022), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2008 Received a 22-oz bomber from LiquidSolutions.biz and shared with MN group. Pours a dark cola brown brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin off-white ring. Aroma of roasted dark malts, some citrus zest, chocolate, light caramel and a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of roasted dark malt, some nuts, and a touch of citrus. Finish is light malty with little bitterness. An average brown ale best describes this ale.
