omhper (10039), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 10, 2002 Nut brown. Light bodied, dry and roasty.
A good brown ale. argo0 (6004), Washington DC, USA Oct 20, 2003 Enormous beige head (and by enormous i refer to the fact that the initial pour into a pint glass yields approximately 900 parts foam to 1 part liquid. Said liquid, when it finally appears in sufficient quantity, is cloudy red-brown. Aroma is sweet malty, nutty grape (grape nuts?). Taste is medium sweet, nutty and caramel, light grape. Medium, fairly carbonated body. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Nov 25, 2007Date: 03/21/2004

CaptainCougar (4596), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 20, 2007 Bottle sampled on 9/20/06: Pours a clear amber brown with a thin ring of light tan head. Aroma of mildly earthy toasty malts and some light doughy character. Flavor is drier than expected with some toasty earthy presence and some slight cardboardy character. Needs more sweetness for balance. BückDich (4484), Boise, Idaho, USA May 21, 2006 Bottle: Pours a brown ebony color with thick tan head, lots of lacing. Nose is malty with some caramel and light toasted nuts. The flavor has a moderate body with a good balanced flavor, a bit of roast and a nutty aspect. This is similar to Rogue’s Hazelnut brown but has a bit more body and well rounded maltiness to it. The finish is smooth and sweet. Good brown ale.
