Commercial Description:
Dark and full-bodied, Mammoth Extra Stout boasts a well-rounded melange of rich flavors, including chocolate, caramel, coffee, nut and date. Huge portions of pale and specialty malts give this mammoth brew a complex yet exceptionally smooth palate. Hops provide balance without overpowering the chewy malt profile.

Bottle, Lite nose. Like alka seltzer or chalk. Reddish black color, light does go through. Big head that settle down. Sweet flavors chocolate syrup and coca colaish. Very bubbly. Smooth and creamy. Some bite on the finish. Bottle let out a big pop when I opened, not enjoyable. Hoping it was a bad bottle.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Black colour, small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee cream. Flavour of roasted malts, cream and molasses. Ok stout.

Thick and nearly solid black with a thin tan head. Mild herbal aroma with some fig, toasted cake and licorice. Almost smells like a Fig Newton. Relatively thin in body. Chalky and a bit metallic with a muddy flat finish. Some coffee and bitterness also. Really not that great and surprising coming from a family of better beers.

Bottle from Sprinkle. A very unimpressive offering from this Brewery. Thin on the palate and a flavor that you might expect from Coors offering.

Strong mocha aroma, tannish white head. Flavor is slightly weak. Standard stout but far from extra stout. Not nearly enough bitterness or flavor.

Draft @ Humpy’s - A pretty solid stout, just smooth and creamy with some rich roastiness, and a touch of licorice and molasses. Nicely done without being overpowering.

Nice, slightly roasted aroma. Body is slightly sweet with a good balance of roasted grains.
