3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR: Pours a clear deep golden bronze with a well-lacing froth of clingy white head. Has a subtle pine and grapefruity nose with a hint of oxidation and light caramel malt. Starts with good fullness and light malty sweetness with some floral piny hop flavor and a lightly bitter balance before a clean bittersweet finish. Has a bit of age on it, but not bad, although I would love to try it fresh.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz courtesy of ditmier. Pours a hazy orange with a thick, yellowish white head. Excellent retention and retarded lacing. Aroma is tropical fruits, lemon sorbet, orange juice, some spicy alcohol. Lots of perfumey, subdued hops, and lots of oxidized apples. No pine resin or old strawberry cheesecake that taints many a DIPA. Taste is bitter, piney, lots of oxidized apples, light apple brandy, some light booziness that turns into almost a vodka shot after it warms.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Blake for bringing the bomber! Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a creamy off-white head.. nice lacing followed it down. The aroma was juicy with grapefruit meat and a fruity bouquet over sweet caramel and more fruit.. succulent stuff. The flavor found caramel and a pinch of honey at the core, with aggressive grassy and grapefruity bitterness surrounding.. more grassy, picking up a hit of black pepper on the harsh-ish finish. Medium-plus bodied, very bitter, and spicy on the palate.. just flowed decently.. overall a solid brew, but not an easy drinker.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Summer fruit and grapefruit aroma. light pine and herbal flavor with lots of grapefruit and summer fruit. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Herbal notes linger with light pine, grapefruit, and summer fruit. Herbaciousness (mostly mint) is different, but not all bad.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy orange with off white head. Nose and taste of bready malt, caramel toffee, pink grapefruit and nectarine rinds. Lots more citrus on the palate than in the nose. Well balanced with the bready caramel. Finishes slightly dry and bitter pink grapefruit. Medium body.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yes, yet another Alaskan beauty from Gillard. Pours deep gold with off white head. The aroma is full with loads of tangelo, grapefruit and some sweet malts in the background. Wow, this puppy pulls at you with powerful citrus hop bitterness coming from notes like grapefruit and orange peel. To compliment and play around in the background a smooth mild sweet sugar maltiness rides along for a while. The hops take what little malts there are away and dominate into the finish. Solid IPA and a decent IIPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From this fairly simplistic and agressively coloured label, unveils a generous white tower that remains above the clear golden liquid from which emanates a rather complex hop aroma if not particularly bright and accompanied by more alcohol than I’d expected. The hops go from tropical fruits (litchee, citrus, pineapple even), especially.as the beer i just coming out of the cellar to a more woodsy and resinous profile as it warms and opens up. The supporting malt profile is, I must say, attractive enough. Bold enough for a double ipa and not without a caramel suggestion, but mostly bready and never chewy nor even really sweet, albeit the bitterness with a punch uppercuts through the latter swiftly. It makes for a neat mouthfeel. Anyway, the malt profile is clean and agreeable, supporting he hops nicely, though while aromatic enough, those are leaning even more toward the bitterness side of the spectrum. The finish lingers for a while, being all about bitterness: both leafy and sappy, tannic even.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
courtesy of gillard.
Pours clear brown, white head.
Aroma of floral hops and fruits (citrus).
Taste is just filled with hops and fruits as well as some nice caramel malts.
Found this one to be more enjoyable than its DIPA cousins in California.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22. Pors a hazy, heavily burnished coppery medium amber. Massive, towering, creamy-to-bubbly off-white head. Good webby lacing. Gorgeous. Nice floral and peach notes on the nose. Could be more pronounced, but the bottle was kinda cold, to be fair. Creamy medium body with plenty of dimensional carb; nothing pushy, nothing too soft. Well placed. Some caramel and doughy malts show up against the floral and peach notes, which really is a few too many sweet things hanging out with too few other kinds of things. Then all of a sudden there’s a sharply resinous note at the end, which is kinda like trying to fix a boring romantic comedy by adding a helicopter chase out of nowhere. Refreshing enough, and no technical flaws, but not their best work, and not the most refreshing hop bomb in town.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Monument Wine. Pourd clear golden with a fluffy off-white head and a toffee and pine aroma. There is a marvelous caramel malt flavor with huge hop bitterness. A well-designed DIPA.
