With Z, pours a pitch black pour with a beautiful Java lead. Nose is mocha with coffee and espresso and some spice. Taste is sweet chocolate with some nice chilli spice. Finish is sweet chocolate with a nice spicy finish. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bomber. Pours a dark brown with an brown head and aroma of cocoa, brown sugar, and a hint of chilies. Taste is chocolate and roasted malt up front with the chilies really coming through into the finish with lingering heat.

Oily and graham cracker bread aroma. Malty cocoa and hoppy taste. Pretty good. 22 oz bottle poured at home

Bottle at RBSDG at the Dad Pad. Pours a deep brown with a thin tanned beige head. Soft cocoa on the nose, milk chocolate, sweet and a hint nutty. Medium bodied, cocoa and bitter bakers chocolate with a faint hint of spice coming through. Long roast and cocoa with touches of chocolate lingering into the finish. ABV is well hidden in here, quite smooth stuff.

Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is deep dark chocolate, dried black figs, and faint molasses - beautiful! Taste is dark chocolate with a tingling bite. Really nice. Not thick like Hunahpu, but the dark chocolate flavor sticks with you all the way through the palate. Not super complex, but very good for those who like chocolate.

Drinks like a porter/stout. Tons of chocolate, nice chili peppers, some molasses...but the chocolate and peppers are the star. Really a damn fine beer.

Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a nice brownish foamy head. Aroma of roasted malt with some cacao notes is pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some roasted malt with cacao notes and some musty notes that are also noticeable. The chili notes are very hard to distinguish which is somewhat of a letdown. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but not necessarily great either with the chilies notes not coming through strong enough.

22 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this is rather decadent with lots of sweet milk chocolate and roasted mocha coffee notes as well. A little vanilla, too. But mostly mocha. Quaffable. Slightly transparent dark mahogany body with a medium to small dark tan head present. Starts with a good deal of sweet chocolate and cocoa. Somewhat viscous and velvety. This is followed by a little roastiness and some coffee. Finishes with some spiciness and a little peppery heat. At first, I thought it was ethanol, but this has got to be some sort of pepper. Was not expecting that, nor do I really care for pepper in beer.

Bottle and served in snifter: Pours a deep brown with a fading head and not much lace... but then I go to smell it! BOOM BABY, Fricken nirvana blend of bittersweet chocolate, chilies, cinnamon, and roasted malts flavor explosion. Smooth malty notes that leads to clean bitterness and gentle but lasting heat. This is NOT a Imperial porter/stout but more a spiced up Belgium Dark Ale and a damn tasty one at that... Get ya some

A dark brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, OK. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, cherries, molasses, alcohol warmth, nice. Merci Ian.
