Bottle: Dark amber pour with a nice sandy head. Nose is rich with citrus and pine. Caramel sweet too. Flavor is big ole bitters with lots of pine and citrus. A bit dry, and hop dominated. Very little malt presence. I like the hops and keep ’em comin for sure, but a little more malt balance would go a long way. Thanks to BuckDich for the shared bottle.

Bottle brought by Ken to A&K Holiday tasting, the Hill DC: Golden hue with a frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of resiny hops, pineapple and mango esters, biscuity and caramel mat, light pepper, and a hint of butterscotch. The taste has a biting bitterness and acidity with a note of ripe fruit and sweet malts. The finish is mineral and chalky with a touch of white pepper. The mouth feel is aggressive and biting with a dry metallic finish. Hoppy for sure but it did not kill my palate. I would drink it again.

Bottle: Caramel color, nice head and lacing. Nose of pine, caramel and resin with some bitter citrus and ample earthy hops. The flavor is bitter, plenty of chalk and resin, wow, tons of hops all over the place. I keep trying to find a malty corner to hide in and when I find one, some skanky looking hop comes along to join us. The finish is bitter, dry and husky, lots of earthy pine and columbus. Not my favorite.

Bottle pours a hazy medium amber woth a persistant sandy colored head. Moderate malty sweet carmel aroma with some piney hop notes.. Flavor os very bitter. Overpowers the other flavors. Soapy bitter bite at the end. I’d trade some IBU for soke flavor BUs

22oz from Liquid Solutions. Very handsome beer, deep orange, perky, and lively carbonation. The nose is pretty punchy, with (duh) aggressive hops. And the brew is certainly a face-rip of a hop bomb. Very grapefruit, with a deep puckering character that is rich and spicy but could honestly use a bit of balance. Also a hair thin.

22 oz bottle. Cloudy olive orange with an off-white head. Peppery spearmint and caramel. Medium body; oily with airy carb. Clementines and mandarins get bitter with bits of candied peel.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. This is impressively complex as it warms up. Nose is caramel malts, piney hops, vanilla, and citrus fruits. Flavor is bitter pine needles and grapefruit. Long bitter finish. Good brew overall.

Poured a cloudy straw yellow body with a big fluffy white head. Big spicy pine and grapefruit nose. Flavors are sticky pine needles, lots of citrus with peels, black pepper, and subtle carmel. Thanks Tom!
